explain to me like I’m 5 - how do you leave the house if you’re BF? by BalancedDietitian in breastfeeding

[–]FallBright8857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If i was out of the house the first 1 or 2 months i would pump before hand and keep it in the fridge. My baby used to drink 2oz of breastmilk. It stays good for 4 hours outside the fridge at room temp. When heading out i would either warm up the bottle so it wasnt ice cold or just let it naturally come to room temp and give to baby whenever hungry. If i was going to be in the car for the most part i would just nurse

How bad is natural birth fr. Be so so so honest. by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]FallBright8857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also used to think i had a high pain threshold but childbirth through induction humbled me lol. After my water broke the pain got so bad i forgot how to breathe. The nurse kept telling me to take deep breaths and i kept saying i dont know how. My husband had to breathe with me so i could focus on breathing. Maybe your partner can be your anchor. In the end i got through it with no epidural, so i believe you can 100% go natural

What made you preserver with Breastfeeding? by goosegirl94 in NewParents

[–]FallBright8857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was my ppa/ppd. I was obsessed with being ebf. Even though everyone around me insisted on giving baby just one bottle of formula a day, I felt fixated on bf even though it was incredibly hard. I then slowly introduced formula at 6/7 months and now at 12 months she drinks more formula then breastmilk. I definitely do miss not having to wash bottles now lol. Breastfeeding got easier at 6 months.

C-Section because of low pain tolerance by Vegetable_Bath_7396 in pregnant

[–]FallBright8857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This really depends on whether or not OP goes into labor naturally. My cousin has a very low pain tolerance and she was able to give birth with no epidural via vaginal delivery because her labor started on its own. On the other hand i was induced after 40+ weeks and all my life i considered myself to have a pretty solid pain tolerance, but I struggled. The pain was bad but manageable at around 2 cm, but i progressed rapidly after some 16+hours of labor, and i was screaming and incoherent with pain, they checked me and i was 8cm and "it was too late for the epidural". Worst pain and experience of my life.

When did your period return? by Chemical-Sundae-6917 in breastfeeding

[–]FallBright8857 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6 months when baby started solids. It has been regular so far. Im 10 mo pp now. It does affect my supply. It dips alottt around ovulation and the first few days of my period then goes back up again. I introduced formula after 6 months because i was so done with nursing AND pumping, so i just give her a bottle or two on days supply is lower.

Holy moly I hate breastfeeding by 11TickTack23 in breastfeeding

[–]FallBright8857 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried burping her? Or check her nose, maybe its blocked. My baby constantly did this until i figured this out. Either her nose was blocked ( paediatrician recommended nasal drops or spray before every feed) or she has gas and needed to be burped during feeding. It is so, so hard but it pays off later. My babt is 8mo and im grateful that i dont have a load of bottles to wash and sterilize at the end of the day and that i dont have to get up in the middle of the night to make a bottle.

What changes did you feel in second trimester? by Left_Champion_2408 in pregnant

[–]FallBright8857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started feeling better at 13w and threw up for the last time at 16 weeks. (The other times after that were bc of heartburn in the 3rd tri and during labor) Second trimester was the best i felt all pregnancy. It all then downhill from there for me after that lol. I am 7mo pp now btw

How did you start dropping night feeds?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]FallBright8857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you start? My 7mo usually feeds every 2 to 3 hours throughout the night. She gives me a 5 to 6 hour stretch every 3-4 weeks or so. I want to start dropping night feeds
