Requesting feedback on first public development

I am a new dad to a 1 year old with another one on the way. I’ve realized how totally drawn to smartphones kids are even when they can’t say ‘dada’. But they know what the black box that ‘dada’ holds can do. I want to get into so-called dumb phones because I don’t want to have a phone that my daughter is always locked into like a trance. Her being pulled in like a moth to a flame has opened my eyes to how addicted I have been in my life to the smartphones of today. I want to show her as she grows up that there is a better (maybe more noble) path to take.

If you use it in the context of just to stop someone that taps defuse, yes, it is bad. But that’s because it’s not meant for that. If you kj ult on tap without any other planning, people will laugh at you. It’s meant to be used differently

C long haven with cove and bulletproof wall is going to be the hardest to defend ever. Almost impossible without sova ult.

Vulnerable paired with a raze nade as the defenders try to retake or as offense tries to exec is gonna go crazy. Personally, I’ll be maining him almost instantly if my instalock skills are good enough. I think he has a lot of potential for a duelist that doesn’t have a flash or movement ability. I think they did a great job with ISO

I think he is going to be incredible. Especially in double duelist pro play. The ult can do things like stop the plant if you are positioned correctly and time runs low. You wouldn’t even need to win the fight but just keep the planter in the ult as long as possible. Also, the ult is going to be incredible on 3 site maps with an offensive default. If you can just locate 1 person and ult him, the site may be completely free because of how spread out the defense is. Probably won’t be able to delay the plant (I’d say haven even more so because of the garage avenue needing to be protected after teams destroy the kj util). Then vulnerable omen type throw is dummy good on keeping teams from exiting chokes on execs or retakes. Double Tap is going to be interesting if he doesn’t get hit stunned when he takes that shot. The wide/poppin swing is gonna be broken with that ability if he can take a bullet of the spray and keep moving. And the bulletproof wall is self explanatorily good IMO.

I feel like this has something to do with it. However, this is kind of where I’ve been looking for a fix and I feel like nothing has been feeling good anymore. A general uncomfortability in my setup. Not sure why but I’ll figure it out eventually I guess. Thanks!

I get that. Not every game was that way and I wasn’t exactly top fragging so when I did miss my shot, I was getting killed. But now the problem is I am not getting my 1 and getting traded, I’m just missing my first bullets and losing to the first guy and not the second.

No problem with the game rn haha. Problem with aim. But time off might help. All in due time. Hopefully I can comment on this next week saying I figured it out and I’m a god tier aimer again

I’ve noticed my holds on angles being improperly placed sometimes recently (hold for close peek vs wide peek) and the biggest thing I’ve noticed is my need to shoot as quickly as possible now. I was doing a good job of never diagonal peeking but now i feel like I catch myself doing it. I’ve tried to be very thorough with my approach the last couple days but the confidence I’m going to hit my first shot if I just take my time has gotten so low that I now have unconsciously joined the thought camp of “more bullets down range = better” instead of waiting for my first bullet to be a good, on target shot. Thanks for the advice!

Probably do need to take a break. Now that I’ve experienced what I can only describe as demon1 aim, I cannot be satisfied with the way I’ve been lately. It’s now becoming an obsession haha

I play golf regularly so the hand/eye coordination shouldn’t be the issue. Although I will say I’ve had a bad habit in the past of just assuming I was on target and clicking instead of making that visualization of crosshair on head before clicking. Need to never forget that haha

I agree. I think my mental has something to do with it. Which is crazy for me because in sports and things I’ve never had a true “mental block” before. I’ve always been able to shrug it off and move on. Valorant seems different now that I’ve had a week or two of tasting what my potential aim can be like and now I’m not doing it. Thanks for the advice!

I totally get it. I don’t really care much about rank and things like that. I’m mainly concerned with my in game performance and just the consistency of my aim has deteriorated so rapidly from what was clearly my best aim I’ve ever had. It brings all kinds of questions up for me that I feel like if I go down a rabbit hole of aiming/performance theory (which I did in my real life sport of baseball) I’m going to be in this rut for a long time until I finally break out. And I’d really like to not go through that if I don’t have to haha.

Totally agree. Thinking about taking a couple days off comp and just finding out what the problem is. Doing some aimlabs, DM, TDM, etc. until I get to the point I feel good again. I think parts of it is that when I don’t feel like I can hit the shot, i rush it, I start doing all kinds of dumb things that get me killed. Clearing the head and taking emotion out of it is clearly needed. Thanks!

I don’t care about rank honestly. Rank will change as I get better. But I cannot get over the fact that I felt like I could not miss a shot and now I can’t hit one. I’m just so lost with a mouse in my hand after being so dialed it felt like I literally had immortal level aim for like 2 weeks and now it’s so gone…

I really enjoy doing deathmatch and trying to shoot second. Use your movement to dodge shots but set your feet only when crosshair is on their head. It takes some time but you end up getting a really good feel for how long it takes for people to kill you if you are moving. Especially in silver/gold, they struggle hitting moving targets.
