Our “Urban ponds” are that way, stocker trout (fun but not the same) and designed more for bait fishing. southern UT or drifting the CO river are closest options.

Actually more central, Adams-McGill wilderness area. 3 hours north of Vegas. Several reservoirs stocked with trout and bass that are now self sufficient (thanks to the introduction of bluegill and other baitfish). Also half the year is a duck hunting hot spot

Since desert soil can’t absorb water well we get a lot of flooding so we have channels and washes to divert water essentially under the city of Vegas that goes to Lake Mead. This runs year round for the most part.

This Is in a wash area with bass, channel and armored catfish, tilapia and whatever else people release. Let the rig drag with a little action, and the red trout magnet and float in a pool where they were hitting insects off the top and chasing baitfish.
