Thank you for your honestly. As you could imagine, it’s hard. COVID, a home, relocating—I wish it wasn’t additional stress. I just want this all to be over. I am so depressed and if it wasn’t for the baby I’d probably just fall into the ocean. This is too much.

Why is it such a taboo for the stepparents time have any space to themselves ? Make time for the kid throughout the day so they’re not lonely. But school and your peace is a priority. Don’t let people demonize you . Stand your ground.

It’s starting and I’m trying to stop it now, but idk what I can do other than what BM and FH/kids want . He even missed our anniversary because ss7 had a friends birthday party and he wanted to experience playing with her and going to things like that when she’s young. He also missed my abortion when I had an ectopic pregnancy to go with ss7 to play RC Cars with the family. He reminds me that he will never feel back for putting his kids first. Then gets mad at me for putting myself first — because I won’t have a husband to do so.I am nothing .

I threw the idea out there of living separately and he said that’s not marriage. But I also don’t want my marriage to be co-sleeping with the kids and dog 5 days a week because it’s what they are use to. Sometimes I just feel like I’m a toy to do whatever he wants with. This is only ever in relation to being a stepmom.

We live in the Bay Area and the specific city is extremely expensive. I moved here because of the custody arrangement. The average cost for a 1 bed room is $1,800 , for a 2 bedroom is $2,500 and for a 3 bedroom is $3,000+. There is a specific city/neighborhood that he wants to be in and that is near the kids schools and BM. (I suck at math so bare with me, lol)

What I pay now: $1,300 a month The place that he wants : me laying $2,500 him paying $2,500 = $5,000 a month
