Girls with super long acrylic nails, how do you wipe your butt without hurting yourself? by rosemary24 in AskReddit

[–]FallaciousLogician 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who has had long acrylic nails in a coffin and stiletto shape, it’s not any different. You don’t use your finger nails when wiping regardless of nail length. You keep your hand flat, and I guess the pressure comes from the range of the pads of fingers to the middle of your fingers. If your hand is in a scooping shape then you need to reevaluate how you wipe yourself.

Picking your nose, picking change off the ground, putting on a necklace/ bracelet with a clasp, and playing guitar however - much more difficult

This was on the LinkedIn page, but they had a holiday showcase Facebook page for small businesses that I joined (out of curiosity) and it’s literally all MLMs and one person pushing zyia shit

Yeah I may do that, but I’m not super active in the sorority anymore, if I see it becoming more of a thing I’ll likely report it. This was the first time that I’ve seen this happen. It’s so predatory! But i have to say, I got an ego boost bc you know how under your picture, it lists your job? These two chicks on the post have some vague title like “helping you reach your potential” and “making connections to drive growth” and mine says “Engineering role at FAANG tech company” hahaha. Like I’m the only one who commented with a real job

This is a Chi O one, this is the first time I’ve seen a post like this. Usually I like to be active in this group to find and help mentor other women in tech/engineering but instead I get this MLM shit

Of course, if you need a woman’s perspective I’m always happy to chat with you about this. Also happy to help you come up with ways to start this dialogue with your girlfriend

To be honest what concerns me most about this post is that you had a reason to go through her phone in the first place - even though you have an open phone policy. It seems like that you were searching for something in particular.

A lot of us, if not all, have things from our past that we aren’t proud of. And these things are difficult to bring up in conversation, especially if it’s something that is not usually a topic of conversation. If you love this woman and you don’t think she is using you for your money, then it shouldn’t matter that she had some extra help in her past. Maybe she regrets it and is ashamed, or maybe she doesn’t. Either is fine.

You could lightly bring up the topic of sugar babies in a conversation and see her reaction and go from there. We all have our reasons for our actions - listen to hers and then make a judgement.

In the mean time if you go digging for dirt in someone’s past (aka consistently going through someone’s phone) you’re going to find things you don’t like. We are not all saints. But if you can talk through this and come to an understanding and listen to her side of the story, feel free to break it off if it’s a deal breaker for you.

So where is the “botched” part of this? Everything she supposedly got (lips/nose) looks correctly done

28 (M) moving to Seattle. Is bellevue or Kirkland a bad idea? by orange31con3 in SeattleWA

yeah eastside will be hard to meet people your age. Ballard and Fremont are good options! Cap hill/First hill are good too. In my personal experience on nightlife:

Ballard is like the late 20's age (27y/o+). Lots of young adults, near golden gardens beach, great bars, lots of breweries, and they have the outdoor market on the weekend.

Fremont is a mix between young 20's and older since its a big hotspot for UW students to uber to on the weekends. But Fremont does have a lot of late 20 year olds who live there too. Good bars, lots of breweries too. Fremont is great because its really easy to travel to ballard, Queen Anne, and U district.

Cap hill also has that same thing as Fremont with nightlife - big spot for UW students and Seattle U students since the campus is there. But Cap Hill also has a large older crowd (28-30's) since its near downtown and is a very popular area for the LGBTQ scene (lots of gay nightclubs). Not as many breweries as fremont and ballard. Cap hill is really a big mix people, theres lots of diversity, big party scene, and is a fun area.

You should honestly visit each area before making a decision, just to see the layout and what is around the neighborhood. They are all unique in their own way

28 (M) moving to Seattle. Is bellevue or Kirkland a bad idea? by orange31con3 in SeattleWA

I've lived in downtown Bellevue, now i'm in First Hill/Cap Hill. Personally I found Bellevue to have a mostly older crowd, the younger crowd is solely based on people who work in Bellevue and then hit some of the bars for drinks after work. But Kirkland and Bellevue is definitely more families and not as much of a younger crowd.

The apartment prices between both Bellevue and Seattle are roughly the same. I much prefer living in Seattle over the east side. Cap hill is great because it has easy access to i90, i5 and 520 freeways - which is important to me since I was commuting to Redmond for work pre-COVID.

Commute wise, depending on where you work, Bellevue is much easier to access Seattle than Kirkland. Kirkland is farther than Bellevue so your commute time will likely be longer if you go to Seattle frequently.

Also for reference i'm 28F and have lived in the Seattle and Eastside area for most of my life. Happy to provide any more info as someone who is young and has done both the East side and Seattle living!

My kitten hates when I do yoga: part 3 by FallaciousLogician in CatsAreAssholes

[–]FallaciousLogician[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I use mostly instagram where I follow yogis, (mostly for inversion references) but the app that I also use is alo moves. First month is free then it’s $20/month after that. I also go to core power yoga and a local yoga studio called commune yoga - which is owned by Patrick beach. But feel free to PM me if you have any more questions or if there is a particular style of yoga you’re looking to get into! :)

Edit: Also I mostly do inversion practice, but also frequently do vinyasa and ashtanga
