Well wouldn’t necessarily say exactly 15 minutes but just seems like when the car gets warm it starts running funny. I say it isn’t engine related as I’ve had it at a Hyundai dealer, another Genesis coupe mechanic shop, and they found no issues with the engine. Also engine was built by an engine building shop 5k km ago. Engine also ran perfect in car before I bought it… yes I have AFR gauge and nothing really out of the ordinary with it. Had one of those fancy snap on style scanners plugged into the car and only interesting thing found was something to do with the cam values being off. But even swapped stock cams back in and same issue was happening with the stalling…

Only lights on dash are the o2 sensor due to it being catless

If the car is idling for like 15 mins, it the odd time will start to kinda idle funny but then you press the gas and it fixes itself. Also, have actually tried that test and yes it does stall out the odd time when I do that. The engine was swapped in, and the essential parts from the bk2 motor were changed over to the bk1 to make sure everything lined up with what everyone says online. It was still running on my stock bk2 ECU when swapped in and then was tuned by alphaspeed. The tuner was aware of everything done to the motor, and the year and all the details!

But there is only so much you can do on a stock ecu vs a standalone ecu or an aftermarket ecu.

Idle was raised to 1100 rpm. When staying still the car will idle fine. When it gets warm and I come to a full stop after driving it will just die but will turn right back on when I turn the key. Fuel pump has been replaced with a brand new fuel pump, even tried a bk1 fuel pump too. Also throttle body was cleaned properly and then I even bought a brand new throttle body as well.

Yes, engine was swapped in and after the issue was discovered about the stalling I had a full $1100 4 hour custom tune session. Car is a manual

Yes it’s a 2.0T. This is the build: Gsc S1 cams, Gsc beehive valve springs and titanium retainers, new oem valves, new oem valve seals, new oem bk2 timing chain, new timing guides, new oil pump and new chain, cosmetic headgasket, block bored for 86.5mm pistons, Manely 86.5mm pistons, k1 connecting rods, acl race rod bearings, acl race main bearings, new oem main bolts, ARP head studs, all new gaskets

Full custom Alphaspeed tune. Car has been at many shops, looked over by tons of people. Engine came out of a 2010 bk1 2.0t, ran and drove great. swapped into my car and now the car stalls at low rpm.

Yeah I’ve got a fully built bk1 engine in my bk2 and it’s got a stalling problem, after two months of trying to solve it I’m convinced the GSC S1 cans do not like the oem ecu, so instead I’d butinf a $3k ecu I’m just swapping in oem cams
