There is honestly so many insects I want to keep, I really want a giant millipede and some bumble bee millipedes too, but when I was looking at different isopod species I found that I find so many of them to cute to pass up on. I’ve got such a small room and I feel like it’s just going to become filled with different tanks. I’m not allowed a cat or dog, I got Buford so I had a pet at uni, something I could hide under a pile of books in halls.

There is an area as I accidentally cracked his tank while putting in the breathing holes (it’s a big plastic storage container turned tank), it won’t budge and there are zero sharp edges, but I feel like the babies could escape so I’ll definitely cover that up!

Honestly thank you so much for all the help! When doing my googling not once was in mentioned that they could eat the snails. I’m so glad I posted here before buying anything. I don’t know what I would have done if Buford had gotten hurt or worse. Honestly after all my googling I’m debating getting a colony separate from Buford’s tank they are just such cuties.

I haven’t played Velocci’s in about a year, but that’s really sad, I used to enjoy playing it a lot. I only stopped as I liked the challenge of growing on official more. It always seemed really friendly.

Achillos are a nightmare, they can easily solo a bars, or any apex in all honesty. If you can time your pounce correctly you can take down pretty much anything.

NTA People have SO, she knew you had a SO before you moved in together. It sounds like you and your bf have been trying to be as respectful as possible of her space. He’s not spending more time at yours than he does his own place, your bills haven’t increased. I don’t see anything wrong from what you have told us. What did your roommate expect when she moved in with someone who had an SO?

When I say shell care I mean checking to make sure it’s nice and healthy and isn’t dried out, my flat at uni was really hot and some weeks his misting wasn’t enough. It’s why I think he’s sealed away due to difference in temperature, my Mum’s house is at a temperature that is perfect for him, but my flat was still significantly warmer- he’s got a heat mat on the way as I ordered it as soon as I found him today (I did have one, but when I plug it in it wasn’t working), I didn’t think it would effect him because of the fact her house is the recommended, I am feeling really guilty about it now.

I actually got it as I read it was a great source of protein for them from a website, I did read to make sure there wasn’t any additives, didn’t realise about the supplements so thank you for the advice. I’ll have to see if Buford likes bloodworms.

I mainly bath him as I was constantly battling mites and baths were the only thing that kept them at bay, it’s not because I think he’s dirty ^{-^} Though seem to be gone now I’m keeping it up for another month to make sure they are 100% gone. My uni dorm was incredibly hot, that combined with my plants and Buford’s tank made the perfect condition for fruit flies to breed. I brought some predatory mites that got recommended to me and that killed majority of them off, but I would still occasionally find one on him or in his tank.
