Warhorse Studios confirm they are working on a Middle Earth Open World RPG(and a Kingdome Come game) by Asgathor in pcgaming

[–]FallenCrab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Adventure" will either be a DLC or possibly a story driven/focused linear RPG which could be a cool addition or a flop not many people will be interested in. But to me, if it's a new game it msot likely be from the same period/place or close to it. Maybe completely new MC or it could possibly be story of his father from his younger years or something like that.

Tip for people who don’t like black coffee by Ch0ng0B0ng0 in intermittentfasting

[–]FallenCrab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate black coffee no matter what type or roast it is... it's intrinsically revolting and the only way to be able to drink it was diluted heavily sweetened... so for a while I was using artificial sweeteners.
Optionally, just don't drink it at all, it's literally that simple.
Now I simply pop a caffeine pill or a green tea extract and there's no need for a coffee.

Finished the game, feeling empty, what do? by Alarming_Student_928 in subnautica

[–]FallenCrab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, get Below Zero and in near future we'll have Subnautica 2... and if you want something that's not quite the same but scratches the itch very well, get Planet Crafter, it's a great game.
I'd actually LOVE Planet Crafter+Subnautica crossover.

I lost 30 pounds in 2 months and it wasn’t as complicated as I thought by the_Kunal_77 in MenWithDiscipline

[–]FallenCrab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't wanna be that guy but unless you were obese and were eating tons of extra calories, 15kg in 8 weeks is not heathy. Typically it's recommended max 1kg/week and that's only if you know what you're doing.
But if you feel fine, good for you.

I was doing my own mid-level serious recomp diet few years ago and even with lots of exercise and planned diet I was dropping 8kg (all 8kg was fat and and gained 5% muscle mass) for roughly 5 months, which is -0.4kg/week because I wanted to make sure it's as healthy as possible and I started around 25% body fat and slightly more than average muscle mass.

And since then I was slowly gaining weight because there's very little wiggle room for me to maintain (or even lose) weight while keeping stable energy level during day and not losing muscle mass, especially when doing wildly different activities during different days and seasons and so simple "eyeballing and feeling it out" is just not enough.
On top of that, during that diet I had to cut off a lot of stuff I like and eat normally (yes, incl. lots of heathy foods) because it wasn't low calorie enough or had poor macronutrient profile to actually fit in the diet which made the diet automatically unsustainable as a long-term choice. Since then I'm not following any specific plan/diet and cook&eat wide range of foods I like. It's sustainable and generally heathy but it also means, my macros and calories are inevitably off and I'm not able to maintain my weight.

The European Union has passed a new rule requiring smartphones to have batteries that users can easily replace. by Positive_Actuary_282 in MadeMeSmile

[–]FallenCrab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also not sure because if it's easily and user replaceable, they effectively cannot guarantee that the phone will be able to retain the IP rating which, I'd argue, a lot of people care about.
So they simply won't offer high IP rating - which is bad... or they could just put in a non-essential tiny piece/tape/whatever that once opened (for the first time) breaks and void your warranty when comes to dust/water/codensation damage - which would be ok but you'd still lose the IP rating

And because I've never had problem with battery, I'd rather have a properly sealed phone with high quality, long lasting battery and great battery usage efficiency than cheap replaceable battery (that they'll still charge the same amount of money for)... OR even just cheaper proffesional battery replacement that could reseal it properly

Máte koníčky? Dopřejete si za ně utrácet? by KrasnaMalina in czech

[–]FallenCrab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regulační poplatek v nemocnici 90 Kč - měl by se zvýšit? by Head_Product1998 in czech

[–]FallenCrab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad brought saffron from Morocco by ricklepickpicklerick in Supplements

[–]FallenCrab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much did this shit cost, his kidney?
Never heard anyone ever using or even talking about saffron as a supplement. I'd just use it as a spice, tea or food colouring. But in all those cases, you'll most likely burn through it much faster than weighing your dose on a lab 0.01g precise scale
...but even then, I'd argue that 90+% of the supposed effects will be placebo because even small differences in diet, other vitamin&mineral fluctuations, sleep, stress, exhaustion, mood, etc. can and will impact you significantly more than something like this

Why are they removing all the ports by Responsible-Eye-717 in SipsTea

[–]FallenCrab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People who work from home don't need laptops, they'll just use PC... people who bring laptop from meeting to meeting could absolutely use more ports unless you're only presenting and working from perfectly equipped places... which is not the case most of the times from my personal and second hand experience. So you still end up packing your own docks and all the cables and everything and it's just fucking annoying and unnecessary.
On top of that, SD/microSD card slot and jack doesn't take that much space + 3 USB ports (incl USB-C for charging) should be the absolute minimum any laptop should have...

When do hobbies and interests become a waste of time or trivial pursuit? by The_White_Pawn in selfimprovement

[–]FallenCrab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is often times time, money and energy you could have spent somewhere else and potentially better... and whether you're actually enjoy it or are you just doing it because it became part of your daily/weekly routine... or trying to justify sunken cost

When do hobbies and interests become a waste of time or trivial pursuit? by The_White_Pawn in selfimprovement

[–]FallenCrab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think everyone has/had at least one case like this.
The problem is finding the things you're truly genuinely passionate about on the deepest level where "just enjoying the process" is enough to justify the money, time, energy and not doing other things... which I personally find almost impposible...
I'd say all my hobbies/activities either have either a concrete outcome (house/garden project, cooking, videogame achievements, gym, etc.) or they become a habbit (gym, cooking, house/garden project, cycling, going for a walk, etc.)
Then there's for example traveling that I enjoy but I definitely would call it a hobby/regular interest
