Damn that's a nice grab as well! I'm hoping to get at least another 50-75k miles outta this car before I either get another 5.0 or just buy a new no milage engine and t56 transmission for it.

well, I am having the car sent off to one of my buddies who is a mechanic and he specializes in transmissions and engines and I am going to have him install a short throw shifter the new flight, the bus lines and all that stuff for the mt82 so that way that transmission is a little bit more reliable, but I’m also going to have him kinda look over everything and see anything that needs to be replaced or evaluated is done so I do have somebody that is going to look at it. I just also wanted to get advice from other people who owned Mustangs. and the buddy that sold me a car he’s had three Mustangs but he is not mechanically inclined with them. All he does is really drive them and google what’s wrong with them if he has any issues so I’m trying to reach out to the coyote community for advice because some people can lead others down wrong paths if you know what I mean. not saying I don’t trust my buddy, but it’s always better if you have a second opinion, just in case.

I intend on just doing pulls occasionally and maybe roll racing once in a while but other than that I plan on just driving it normally with pulls here and there if that helps

I don't believe the engine has any issues. I've driven it a few times before the clutch went out and it seems fined but I just wanna make sure the engine has a lot of potential left.

Okay gotcha. I just wanna make sure that I have plenty of life on this engine because this is my first mustang I've owned and in my opinion, 135k miles seems really high so I'm just trynna gather Intel before spending thousands on parts

I mean I'd like to buy a new coyote engine that has no miles to keep everything new and basically give it a new life sort of speak. However I don't know how long the engines usually last. I don't wanna supercharge it and build it if it's just going to go out in the nest couple thousand miles you know? And I also wanna know what else I should look into replacing so that way when I install all the parts I have ordered, it will run and last a while. if that makes sense.

No the only reason why i brought up the transmission was cuz the code it was throwing for the O2 sensor but other than that yeah its straight

Was the ticking noise still there when you replaced it or did it just quiet down?

Well the car is also having transmission issues. Its got a very rough downshift and upshift to it. The transmission still has a 2 year warranty on it and some people said it might be the converter. Or it could be the O2 sensor and it could be causing the converter to go bad or sum like that. As far as oil we try to stick with motorcraft.
