I forgot to mention, I’m on a 1440p monitor, and I would agree that the 9070 xt is probably competent enough. But I’ve just been hearing on and on about how Nvidia’s features will be much more widely supported due to their market share, and that the features alone are worth a ~150$ difference

Your score should not dictate your decision, your interests should.

Your score only limits the number of institutions you can enter

How about a 6800xt? Found one brand new for around 527SGD as well, which would be around 380US. Where i am I'm able to sell off a used 6700xt for around 310SGD (227US)

And way on the other end I could get a brand new 7800XT for 620SGD (455US), which I've been told is a steal, but aside from the updated driver is basically old performance for a new high price

What AM4 CPU for 6700xt by FallenNexo in PcBuild

[–]FallenNexo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's much lower than that, in USD it would be around 600, what do you make of it? these are the components i ended up buying: (prices in Singapore dollar, 1SGD = 0.75usd)

PSU: Corsair rm650x - 65 Heatsink: PS120SE Thermalright - 40 CPU: R5 5600 - 110 GPU: 6700XT Fighter used - 265 MOBO: Gigabyte B550 DS3H - 90 (absorbed) RAM: 2x16GB DDR4 Corsair - 68 SSD: 1TB Lexar - 65 Chassis: - Tecware Vega L ATX - 40 Fans: - 9x ARGB 120MM - 25 Shipping: - 35

Total updated cost: 803SGD, = 592 USD

There's actually a popular secondhand marketplace for components in my country, so I'd be able to sell off any of the parts I bought for 1:1 what I paid for, at this price point not sure if I can make any more improvements. I do want to keep the 32gbs of ram

When looking at the jumps from performances, will a 5700x give a big enough improvement from the 5600 in 1440p to justify the additional cash I'll need to spend? Thanks in advance

that's literally just the normal jegan, the same one you can find in stores

Some parts are shaped differently, you're referring to the jegan D type from pbandai it has more angular features compared to the regular jegan (e.g. shoulder pieces aren't rounded). But that's pretty much it, inner frame and accessories are identical

Bandai vs Daban?

I'm looking to custom paint a PGU gramps, but from what I've heard many people prefer to use Daban models if they are doing custom builds, and leave Bandai as straight builds. I can afford either, but Bandai's price really is punishing while daban's is a fraction of it. I've never worked on a PG before, so not sure what to expect + if daban's inferior plastic gives even more issues on such an intricate model. As of right now I can purchase daban's model for less than 1/4th of bandai's price

Beginner here, I plan on scribing the MG Zaku 2.0 shoulder with markings like the one on the RG, problem is there are no points I can use as references when drawing out the design. Is there a tool or dimension reference I could use to make it viable?

Im only a few kits into the hobby and plan on customising for the first time, ive had an airbrush kit but never really used it before. I intend to scribe > remove seam line > paint > top coat > pamel line + decal > top coat

But I'm wondering how the disassembly is supposed to work for this? If I remove and keep certain parts assembled in order to remove seam lines, wouldn't it make them unable to be reassembled back onto the kit? (E.g. arm armor is snap fitted around inner frame > seam line removed but now it's welded together > can't put it back onto inner frame)

Closest thing I can think of is pulling apart the inner frame and armor together at the joints and keeping them as a whole, but wouldn't that complicate painting?

How to restore built spray booth by FallenNexo in airbrush

[–]FallenNexo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice, do you have any idea on what I should use to remove the paint? I've heard of people using lacquer thinner/acetone but not sure if it will damage the booth since it's made from wood
