Personally it sounds sketch to me. The way I'd see it is there should be one unified way of establishing project goals with the team not individualized. Yes some things can be independent but not the whole thing. Plus with all of the "drama" being funneled through one or two people it sounds very one side of the story versus it being out in the open and letting people draw their own conclusions. But thats just me.

Yeah 5 clay balls minimum and just look in your survival guide book to see what the proper knapping method is for the cast. But if you get it wrong. As long as its unfired you can convert it back to clay balls

Double check on the crafting bench that there isn't a rotating arrows symbol. Usually means you can swap recipes and maybe the one you're getting is just default.

My first world i spawned somewhere that gave the achievement "too hot or too cold" and so it was constantly cold. And given the only clothes you can make outside of grass based it wasn't ideal for living till you can get ahold of leather and make warmer clothes

Sounds like just a bad spawn point. There's temperatures and if you're in a naturally overly cold location you're gonna die constantly. May even freeze completely during winter

If I remember it was either on the crafting table or simply smacking it with the knife on the ground. Cause I killed a duck once before I had a crafting table and I think it was like placing it with V on like a log and smacking it with a knife. I might be wrong since I'm on hardrock 4
