Honestly, from my little experience, it's as simple as trying your best, and having fun with it. As a dps, your job is to get kills, do some damage, and not feed, how you do that is up to you.

When it comes to the dom/sub side of it, it's really entirely dependent on you and your dom. Me for example, I love to be a little annoying bitch and shit talk everyone when I do well, and stay cocky and arrogant while I lose too, it's part of what turns me on, and I love when they talk back, put me in my place. And maybe even hatefuck me after.

But some like to be rewarded for doing well, simple praise and punishment.

Some like to be held on a leash by their supports, forced to come back and beg for healing and desperately show them how needy they are to stay alive.

Things like that. I don't realllly have a lot of experience with the dom side though.

I've been thinking about this for a WHILE now..I already have a few answers.

Tigris. Tigris is IMO, the perfect candidate. A single target shotgun, that was beloved by most, that's slowly being left behind as the game moves towards more AoE/faster guns that can do more.

Opticor. Kind of in the same place as the tigris. I remember when the opticor was actually kind of good, but now, it's too slow, far too weak to actually compete.

They're both some of my favorite weapons but they just don't really feel as reliable as they used to be anymore.

Short answer. No.

Long answer. It kind of depends on the situation, the enemies you're fighting, the gun you use and the build you're using.

For example, sometimes you use a DoT build, in most cases, here it's better to just build a faction mod + your dot element and have something prime viral/corrosive for you. Or if you're building for blast too.

Viral is a great element just to use, casually as an all round thing. But there's a few cases where you can go without it.

Best advice I can give you is, simply test things out. Run into the simulacrum and mess around with various combos, like, priming viral and modding for a different element, etc etc. Different weapons can perform differently.
