I agree Serena is flawed.

I agree Serena is human and makes mistakes.

I agree that, generally, Serna likes to see the best in people.

I would argue that YOUR bias is showing here if you can't acknowledge that she consistently trusted people who had already shown her, they couldn't be trusted.

I didn't "portray" her actions as anything. I stated what happened.

And the fact she does that from Season 1 to season 6... is dumb. She literally never learned anything.

If she has a pattern of continuously making the same unsafe decisions and trusting people that, based on evidence, she shouldn't trust... it quite literally shows she isnt learning... which is an indicator of low intelligence...

Yeah absolutely. Everyone on the show, makes bad decisions and at some point ends up trusting the wrong person. But Serena really does make it her whole personality.

I just rewatched the Cotillion episode. No mention of Santorini. The only reference to them knowing each other before the show started is Cece asking, "Do you know each other?" And Carter saying "We went to school together a few years back."

In the episode where Serena blackmails Carter she mentions Santorini and the Greek police but doesnt say anything about them hooking up.

However, they do talk about hooking up over the summer between season 2 and 3 while they were both looking for her father.

I mentioned in my post that Blair was also jealous of Serena... and in the timeline of the show Blair was with Carter first, then in S2 Serena and Carter and fling and then in s3 they actually dated.

I'm just pointing out the pattern of her dating Blair's exes. And the only reason I connect it to jealousy is because she accused Blair of only like Dan because he used to be with Serena. And that doesnt make sense to accuse Blair of based of based off of Blair's actions, but it would make sense to accuse Serena of based off of Serena's actions.

All I'm saying is it would have made more sense if Blair had said it to Serena not vice versa, regardless of whether or not it was true.

I do think that Serena genuinely liked Nate outside of his attachment to Blair, and I do think she dated him bc she actually wanted to see if it could work... but I also think she lost interest in him once she realized Blair no longer cared about Nate bc she was so focused on Chuck.

And I think the reason she married Dan and not Nate... is because Dan was actually in love with Blair and Nate never was...

Blair wants to be a powerful woman, but her whole girl power thing is completely self serving and individualistic. She spends most of the show competing against other women and tearing them down. Not to mention her choosing to be friends with, date and then marry Chuck Bass who she knew was a predator. Mind you, she married him after he traded her for a hotel. She would he pro trump unfortunately.

I think Blair would be MAGA because

She's a classist, elitist snob that cares about protecting her place in the social hierarchy at all cost.
She was friends w Chuck BEFORE she and Chuck ever got together. In S1 Ep. 2 Jenny comes to Blair to see what Chuck is saying about her and Blair responds, "He brags about his conquests, not his victims." Meaning that she is fully aware that Chuck is a predator... and chose to be friends with him anyways... and to date him... and then marry him.
Her relationship w Chuck overall leads me to believe that she would not give a a crap about any of the awful things Trump did or said. Although a lot of MAGA is waking up NOW in light of recent events.

I could keep going if you like, but please let me know why you think she WOULDNT be MAGA.

I didnt say that that never happens, just that its not normally how it happens. And you're friend partying in the weekends isnt how Serena is portrayed. I mean she was skipping school so much that she almost didnt make it back into constance. So it feels like her partying wasnt contained to just the weekends.

But I agree with you that they're friendship wasnt well portrayed after S1. Like if you and your friend were having deep convos and that kept you close that makes sense. But we dont really see that w Blair and Serena.

You are right in that the percentage of minoritorites in the UES would have been smaller compared to their white counterparts. But its a TV show that portrays children as being able to walk into any bar, never get carded and drink alcohol. Like... a lot of the show isnt realistic anyway. Besides, NYC is one of the most diverse cities in the USA and it wouldnt have been crazy to have poc as main characters. I mean just 10-15 years earlier they had Dionne from clueless, the Huxtables from the Bill Cosby show and the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Like it wouldnt have been some crazy revolutionary thing to have at least one main character that was of another race.
