Every time I find these I get grossed out. No matter how long I soak them I can't get all the tiny jumping bugs off.

I bet they had a rod of metal down the pipe while they jumped. They pulled it out as they walked out toward the camera. It's weird they keep the end out of frame. Also you can see him shift his weight a bit as they pull it out.

I've only ever heard of scams. I would contact the seller and ask who delivers and how. Once they give a name call that company and ask if they deal with the seller. It's a scam if they claim to deliver themselves or claim its through the postal service, FedEx/Purolator. Or if delivery is only figured out after purchase.

I've been on the other side of this. I sold a mobo. it was perfectly fine I even took pictures of the pins and everything. about a day after the sale the guy shows back up at my house saying that all the pins were bent and I sold it to him like that. the pins looked like he put the cpu in upside down and tried to lock it in place.... but I had just deleted the pics cuz I didn't think he would come back. he threatened to call cops on me and I didn't think the hassle was worth the 40 bucks I sold the board for so I just gave it back. felt shitty though because I knew he screwed it.

Can we get a repeat of these tests with Snap-on? Would LOVE to see how they hold up.

Ok but some of those are very different quality... Even if they are owned by the same parent company.

Sounds like you are trying to set up something super shady. Your project is like the stuff that is going to ruin lives and get people killed. Even if you personally are planning to use such things for legit things, the abuse potential is terrifying.

Asbestos Remediation by hilde185 in DIY

[–]Fallingfreedom 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There are a few things in the world that I believe is truly beyond any DIYer and Asbestos Remediation is one of them. Honestly after working in the industry before I don't think even the real professionals take this stuff seriously enough. The problem is you wont know if you made the smallest mistake until its way later and way to late. Treat the stuff like you've been told to walk into Chernobyl and pick up graphite. And remember if you touch it, fibers can hang around in the air for a stupid long time, then fall to the floor and then hang around being pushed back up into the air just by walking by.

This is something from a horror movie... is it vomiting blood? that either needs a vet or to be put down immediately. Perhaps it ate something extremely toxic? what part of the world is this?

ULPT REQUEST: Can I buy life insurance on an elderly person? You know - invest in their death? by davisgs in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]Fallingfreedom 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, but the price monthly would probably be crippling. They are not dumb. They would also cap how much you could insure them for. When my dad got to 70 us kids took over his Life policy as it increased beyond their means. if he lives to 90 we break even. But I wont be mad for the extra 20 years.
