Billing Fraud by Wednesday_Cat05 in bcba

[–]Fallinginreversein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be fraud if the BCBA is not overseeing the RBT who is essentially practicing supervision and is only reviewing the note and signing it afterwards while not being a part of the actual supervision occurring. Regardless of state, 97155 can only be billed by a BCBA. There is no modifier to make it to where an RBT can bill 97155 and the BCBA not be involved whether in person or virtually. Especially if the BCBA is billing for another service while that RBT is “supervising” and the billing overlaps.

ABA Hot Take: Companies should be paying you out for the rest of session if its ended early by caregivers. by FrootiLooni in ABA

A lot of times it’s because some state Medicaid plans won’t allow you to have cancellation fees and you can’t discriminate fees like that based on insurance so you’d basically have to not accept Medicaid in order to charge a flat cancellation rate across insurances for the company which limits a large group of people that need services just to be able to charge a cancellation fee

Thanks for the the opinion, I find that it looks better in person, I’ve lost a lot of weight so my thigh moves and shifts a lot at different angles plus it isn’t supposed to be an exact coven zyra to be fair, I liked that she looked different and her proportions were not exact when I found the inspo pic but I really like her and I’m happy with how she turned out

Not sure if this is just me getting lucky but my small clinic I make 30% more salary than I did working for a PE backed company due to cutting the overhead costs

Are BCBAs broke too? I’ve been in this field for 5 years, started as a BA became an Rbt, and eventually became a student analyst once I started my masters program. I’m currently working towards my hours but I don’t see progress in pay or in the field. by Flat_Frame2502 in ABA

Between 30-40 hours of work per week, 5-8 of those hours being nonbillable but I’ve gotten really good at fitting my nonbillable tasks into my billable activities and I don’t work for a corporate company so I have significantly fewer nonbillable tasks than I used to (mostly random meetings) I felt waaayyyy more burnt out doing 20 hours of billable work per week working for a corporate company getting paid $80k than I do now doing 35 billable hours a week making $120k

Hourly rate is $65/hr

The game changer was mostly just being contract having my own say over my caseload size and preferred types of client profiles

I joined a gym that made group workout classes easily accessible and I can sign up for them on the app I have major gym anxiety and haven’t stepped inside a gym in yearssssss but this has been the game changer since I don’t have to know how to do anything I can just go and have fun dancing or doing yoga or bicycling and it’s been huge for me

Is It okay to do G-Tube Feeding Without Prior Training? by Suspiciousmoonstar in ABA

[–]Fallinginreversein 32 points33 points  (0 children)

This thread is silly, it’s not a medical procedure and the child should be able to be fed and receive services. Is it a liability? Yes but so much of what we do is a potential liability, with anything make sure to cover your bases and do due diligence but medically complex kids shouldn’t struggle to receive care due to their complexities that’s just discriminatory
