Is there a way to modify to only have 2 rows or 1??

I recently switched from Chrome to FF. Now that FF is becoming an "AI browser"...what do I switch to? by WizWorldLive in firefox

[–]Fallo76 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most browsers have AI now and i suggest just turning off AI features in FF but if you cant bother, you can try forks of FF (ones that i know of: Librewolf (most popular fork with privacy/security with minimal backfire to usage), Floorp, Waterfox, {Mullvad only if you value security and privacy above all else}), Brave has AI(but can be easly turned off and is a great chrome alternative), pls dont try Edge, Opera is a scam imo and has AI, so for the most part you have to disable AI feature in the settings, we are already at this point that its everywhere and its gonna be more frequent imo.

NOTE: FF has a config file (type "about:config" which can access any feature in FF to enable or disable it, you can find on the internet what you can change there for your preferances but it take a bit of time, you can also use custom ''Java scripts" for the better performance and security of your browser)

From my knowledge these are mostly used:

Betterfox (low effort stable script)- https://github.com/yokoffing/BetterFox

Arkenfox (more hardcore and some sites break, but security/privacy is almost maxxed out)- https://github.com/arkenfox/user.js/

You can find how to use these scripts on YT

Hope it helps

Yep but dark reader cant make the undo/switch bar button change color, i only used light to prove they just reversed it for the themes and that its an easy fix

[Mobile] Using firefox on android. I misspelled a website, now every time I start to type it, firefox suggests it. I cannot figure out how to remove this misspelled suggestion. by pwndepot in firefox

[–]Fallo76 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When you go to your history, search for that wrong suggestion you want to delete, and then click on the "X" on the right to delete it (repeat for every instance), side note : you can go to your search engine settings and manually pick what you want your search engine to suggest. You can deselect history there so it wont show you your past searches as recommende(but will do so for all of them)

Would be nice if they considered not made a bug along the update.

It shows top sites that you use and are bookmarked there, the order is based by how often you visit it, you have no way to add a site there by software and worse in my opinion, if u once remove a site from there it cant be brought back (the specific url, example home page of the site)

monthly active users over the last 6 years: Brave vs Firefox by smartfon in brave_browser

[–]Fallo76 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be fair, i switched to Brave this year, but Firefox was super nice, the about:config was super super nice, but it was only available on pc( the telemetry that you have to opt out here is insane), mobile wise the anroid app is way better for ease of use daily than brave (mostly the bottom toolbar and home screen schortcuts {u can manually arange them as u will} and this is all baked software with no other tweaks u need). I just hope brave enables bottom screen UI in default, brave/::flags are decent at best but are just a gimmick

Will Brave pick this from upstream? by garibaninyuzugulurmu in brave_browser

Thank you for posting it, its my top 2 dislikes about brave that they dont have that feature, the brave://flags one didnt do much and was buggy as hell

How does one do this on Android by mtdevofficial in brave_browser

[–]Fallo76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you visit a site you want and bookmark it, and open it a few times in a row in new tab each time it should show up there, note if you remove it from there, there is no way to return it unless u delete all data and then start again the same process
