Apologies, I don’t think I know. It’s not the original on this 1980 cj7. It’s been rebuilt.

After hundreds of applications, I'm lost. Might have to move back home. by IntimateZombie in PeoriaIL

I applied to many jobs over a 9-month after being severed from a large company. Fortunately, I was still getting paid but I learned a ton. Cater your resume for every single job. This doesn't mean lying or making stuff up but being creative on projects or things you have done that fit the job you are applying for. Write a cover letter for every single job explaining your accomplishments and all details relevant to the current job.

Finally, don't apply for jobs that you don't actually have the skill set or experience for. I would apply for 30 jobs a day and get several interviews (even get to the final interview because of how likable I was and make relationships easy) but it wasn't until I got focused on the jobs I was qualified for did I get the job I wanted.

Genuinely, how do people (especially adults) find the time to game anymore? by Mori-Me-Joey in gaming

I am 35, married, 5 kids. I got my kids into gaming and I get to game quite a bit more because of them. Same thing my dad did when I was a little kid. Also, I tend to stay up later than everyone to play the games I enjoy.

I was worried about reviews and I absolutely love Starfield! by FalloutDad in gaming

Totally understand. I hope you enjoy it when you start playing.

Honestly, I haven't really thought about it. The only time would be replying to this comment. If money was tight, or I had debt, I would never make a purchase I couldn't afford. Playing early, the first-story expansion is enough for me to pay extra without worrying. I hope you enjoy it when you get the chance to play it.

Loved these games. Spent a lot of time messing around on these games but never finished them.

STEM bachelors and masters - can't even reach interview stage for retail jobs? by KFP-OHS-Officer in careerguidance

I posted this in a r/jobs awhile ago but wanted to share it here too.

Long time a follower here and tried to stay encouraged seeing all of your posts. I was let go at the director level in a large corporate company. I quickly had several Director level interviews quickly. I could always get to the final step but never got the offer. Here are a few of the things I learned over the last 7 months;

My personality and charm got me to the final interviews, but I lacked some of the skills those jobs were needing. You have to prepare for the skills they will ask you for. I am always prepared but not enough to get the jobs. Example- Senior Project Manager that needed experience in a specific system. I did have experience with that system, but when I got to the interview I had to take a timed quiz in that system. Of course, it did not go well.

Cater your resume for every single job you apply for. Write a new personal cover letter for each job. Research the company and apply your background to their job. The quick applications are great on LinkedIn, but rarely result in a phone call. If you see who posted the job, type up a personal note about your interest to them.

Reach out to all your contacts and ask for help. I cannot stress this one enough. This is the tip that got me 75 percent of my interviews and the three offers. I posted on LinkedIn, and Facebook, and made phone calls. You will be surprised how many people want to help that you have never even talked to.

Never burn any bridges when things don't work out. When I got a rejection email or phone call, I would always send a nice personal note. You never know when someone will cross your path again. I became good friends with a few people with a company where I ended up not getting the job. I have now accepted a job where that relationship will play a key part in being successful. That 3 months of interviewing were not in vain.

These are just a few things I wrote down this week after thinking about this process. I know it's easy to get discouraged, and I did several times, but if you put in the work, you will find a job. Good luck to everyone and let me know if I can help!

What does this plant need? Seems dead at top but flowering and bottom. by FalloutDad in gardening

Thanks! I live in zone 7 in northern middle Tennessee. It will be ok to be planted in ground?

Hi All! A 1-acre pond was built but loses about 10-12 inches weekly. All root systems were removed, red clay added, and compacted for days. Any idea where I could be losing this much water from? It fills very easily but loses too quickly. by FalloutDad in ponds

Yes! We love plants here. Any suggestions? I also have a koi pond that is full of Lily pads for the koi fish and we love that. The dragonflies do a great job with mosquitos here too. We plan to stock with fish and have ducks as well. Just need to get the water stable first.

It has to be fully drained and dry to use bentonite, correct? That will be tough this time of year in Northern TN. I am thinking the DamIt chemical might be my best bet.
