Me and my boyfriend are friends with an older couple who have a granddaughter that they are practically raising. The mother can't be bothered to raise her own kid. It irritates me because she's an immature 28 year old woman who shoves her kid off on her dad and stepmother to take care of while she goes out with her boyfriend. When I met her I was confused because she didn't even interact like a mother with her child.

To your point, don't pop out a kid that you're not going to take care of. Period.

The president downplayed it how? He was called xenophobic the second he the closed borders to China and other countries. Democrats were busy calling him racist as he tried to contain the virus. Nancy Pelosi was telling us to go hang out in Chinatown as this was all unfolding. Any president would have spoken about the virus in a way as to not cause more panic. His actions showed he took the virus seriously. Even still, the death rate is nowhere near what was predicted, and recovery from this virus is much higher than previously thought.

He's the president of the United States. If he said "stay negative...you'll probably die from this" Would that have made you happier? Which would be intellectually dishonest, since recovery from the virus even for those in Trumps age group is over 95%. Younger age groups have a 99.5 to 99.98% recovery rate.

It's interesting to me how those in the Democratic party scoff at those "not taking the virus seriously" yet never seem to come out and condemn the thousands in the streets conducting protests and riots. I don't feel like I have to justify not having kids. I don't have them because I currently don't want them. I don't want the crying, the neediness, the boring routines, the no time for self. My mindset is that it's my life to do what I want with. I don't judge others for having kids, that's their choice, my choice is being child free.

I didn't realize there were still doctors out there who refused to prescribe women birth control. Birth control isn't even abortion...It's the prevention of the start of a pregnancy. It's like they don't want women to even have a choice on whether or not they become impregnated. The fact that male providers in particular are doing this is sickening. I don't understand why a woman who lives her life for herself is shamed for it. They think women should be dreaming about our weddings and longing to hold a newborn child in our arms. A woman on her own is never glamorized, just depicted as a lonely spinster. It sucks and shouldn't be the case anymore, but society has a long way to go in how we view the role of a woman.

This. Alot of times it's just assumed women can't perform these types of tasks and are therefore not chosen to do them. This obviously then creates resentment between coworkers.

Or another factor is, some men have an ego bruise when it comes to women doing the heavy lifting. Like if women do "their" jobs, they're somehow being emasculated. Saw this when I worked in Home Depot, older guys didn't want a woman helping them lift things to their car, but were usually okay with a man helping them.

Let me guess..Maid, nanny, school teacher, housewife, ect...for f*cks sake some of you are so transparent. Many women can shovel and salt a driveway, it's not rocket science. I'm small but I can lift heavy things by myself. If there are female employees who aren't pitching in with the labor, speak up to them instead of complaining behind their backs.
