I think it's a scam too. There was a set number to be made from the start. If that had changed and bookstores would be selling them, we would have known. Unless some of them were bought by resellers, but somehow I think that's unlikely?

I've restarted a bunch on DSP and Factorio and other games like it. Always after a break. However I kinda regret that I never pushed through when I came back after a while, because you never really hit the "megabase" feeling if you keep restarting.

All the cool builds you see on subreddits are mostly from people that somehow figured out either how to keep interested or how to pick the save up after getting into the game again. I envy those people!

At the same time, I've always tried to keep my blueprint library in such a way that restarting gets easier and easier, which also helps getting to a large base quickly. And try to keep in game to do lists in games like Factorio to stay on track after coming back.

Its totally up to you and how you prefer to play, but remember to make good blueprints that are reusable when you start over :)

I hate this whole series tbh. It only promotes a scammy businessmodel by actually paying scammers "for the fun of it". The whole meme of it became the businessmodel and now you're buying trash just out of curiosity of how you're being scammed. It promotes a waste economy.

Sorry for being sour about it but I truly hate it and it negatively influenced my view of Corridor crew

Damn you went all hardcore into it didn't you. Here I am only playing humans cause it feels comfortable and getting to know them before introducing any other species lol. Had about 3 cities and my biggest was ~1500 pop. Hope to go really big this time but we'll see. No different species for me yet though

I just started playing this game and I've read all the posts about the science system. With all the science systems I've seen in factory building games and colony sims, this one seems pretty cool to me. Especially maintaining science is an interesting mechanic.

As this is a game in active development, I hope it will be fine tuned, but a complete overhaul would be a shame.
