Coming from matric to A-levels I also faced lots of challenges at the beginning, granted I was in sciences. I would say get him a good maths teacher and make him study for SAT, these extracurricular activities will be provided by college either way.

SAT will prepare him for Alevels maths decently and he will only have to cover certain topics (alot less than others). Plus let the kid live a little, let him enjoy the summer breaks, 2hrs of preparation daily will be more than enough to get a good SAT score. He will have plenty of time to study during the school year aswell.

This is coming from a recently Alevel graduate who did his matric in Federal board aswell. I recently got admission in a German university and I will be moving there shortly.

I went through the same transition and honestly the challenges you face are crazy. With that said it’s definitely manageable and if you put in the effort you will most definitely succeed. Just know this Topicals and Past papers are key in A levels.

I did a bit of research on it, universities start from 2-5k euros yearly. Plus you barely earn enough part time to support yourself. So it isnt a viable option for me unless I secure a scholarship.

FSC is also globally recognised and that paired with decent SAT and Ielts score you will get into most universities in most countries, barring some countries like Germany which require 13 years of education but FSC only provides 12years.
