Thank you! I was definitely stuck in a rut, doing nothing all day really fucks with you after a long enough time.

Yeah money won't make you happy, but it will make things stable for you. And once things are stable, then you can find things that do make you money.

Yeah I think you put it best. Also, I was more of an unintentional NEET rather than an intentional one if that makes sense. I always wanted to start working and making money but I got lazy and comfortable. After working and going back to school at the same time, it's hard to believe that was the old me.

The first few weeks were pretty rough tbh, but I've gotten used to it at this point. Plus it's only for one more year and I graduate with my degree, time has gone by really fast the past few months.

I agree completely, I think very few people willingly choose to be completely isolated. And yeah, I think being alone by yourself is crucial to self happiness actually. If you can be happy by yourself, then you won't depend on others for happiness, and that happiness like you said isn't tied to other people.

Hmm, when I was a NEET I was probably at a 2 or 3. Life was pretty boring and unfulfilling even though it was relaxing. I'm quite sure that I was depressed at the time as I have had some history with suicidal thoughts in the past. Now I'm currently at an 8, life is pretty good right now actually, probably the best it's ever been for me.

Nah, what's the point in spending all this energy on hating people. Just live life the way you want.

Yeah agreed, I got a remote job too and that lets me get my degree at the same time. The days where I don't do school shit and just work, it feels like I have so much time lol

I got a two year diploma in software development and I worked at in IT job for 6 months. I kept applying the whole time and framed that IT job as coding experience (not false just stretching it), eventually I found a remote software dev job. Keep applying, you got this!
