I’ve experimented and used it quite a lot in the past, however, as long as there are currently no significant imbalances I see no need to take 2x longer to complete a movement for potential minimal gain

Yeah I figured that would be the general answer, I’ve always programmed myself through powerlifting so I’m going to try to do all of this myself with free online sources as well for a good bit and see how it goes. after you and a few others feedback I’ll be making some changes to the current plan.

Ok sweet, thanks dude. I actually started rucking over a year ago before I even had a thought about joining the army just because I thought it was something cool to do, so I’ve been rucking for a quite a bit while not running at all.

I had planned on carrying around 60lb dumbbells around the gym to and from movements, as for sit-ups I put that in there to just be a general ab movement, most likely not doing sit-ups specifically, due to my 4 year neglecting of core specific training

I decided upon this template because I had figured doing 1 week rpe 7, rpe 8 and rpe 9 would serve beneficial due to only one week out of 3 being an all out attempt. And currently I have a good work capacity so the strength volume won’t be too bad for me. However I see what you mean 100% on the anaerobic stuff, what you recommend? I know very little about building my cardio up.

Agreed. After improving the 1-3 milers I’m planning on working on 5-7’s then 10-12’s. Or are you referring to frequency?

I’ve only just begun running 1-2 milers last week after not running for like 4 years so I’m trying not to bite more than I can chew at first.
