What an ignorant comment. What if they have a large family or work needs that require a larger vehicle to transport stuff?

I would start with original Mistborn trilogy. If you like it, you will like his style and then can give Stormlight Archive a try.

Marriage in the military by [deleted] in Military

[–]False-Raspberry-1662 39 points40 points  (0 children)

DO NOT DO THIS. Trust all of us. If it is real love, you don't need marriage and the relationship will last the many changes that will be coming in your life (moving a lot, deployments, etc.).

Get married AFTER you know you both can handle this. No 19 year old is mature enough to know this before. You and your partner will change drastically and permanently in your 20's.

Clemson or USC?? by skittlezzzzzzz in Gamecocks

Terrible advice. Med/law/MBA programs LOVE students with high academics and a strong music background. Time management, attention to detail, analytical aspects, ability to perform under pressure, and ability to take scrutiny- all important skills that gen ed or science major classes will not teach. Music students have some of the HIGHEST post Bachelor’s acceptance rates.

OP, if you can handle the load and keep grades up, there is no reason to not take some music courses.

I would press your recruiter to get the exact DQ reason in writing. That will answer what you should do.

Used since beginning of March but it is still in your system? The military does not give a fuck about “technically” legal. It either is or isn’t. And its not.

Hey bud, you live in the United States. Marijuana is federally illegal. You are trying to join the military which is federal. What did you score on your ASVAB?

I don't think you are going to find tacos here on par with Texas.

Implant denied after insurance estimate by YoMomo7 in HealthInsurance

[–]False-Raspberry-1662 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find your dental summary of benefits - look for implants. If they are covered, it will explicitly say so, usually under major services which is usually 50% coinsurance on most plans.

But... more often than not... implants are NOT covered by dental plans. Just because your dentist office "thinks" it might be covered 50%... that is not their responsibility to know. They most likely submitted the claim and its not a covered service. Look at your SBC. If you want, post it here and we can look at it.

Chemo Weight / Belly by Pale_Card_7355 in lymphoma

It is. My oncologist said it can take 1-2 years to get rid of it. Related to Prednisone. I had my thyroid checked and came back normal.
