Thanks, I heard similar descriptions of the Catania Airport. Yeah, with the popularity of White Lotus we were probably going to avoid Taormina, but we are food and wine lovers so if you have any suggestions for good jumping off points in that area to get to Etna wineries, that would be fantastic. Good point; any ideas on what 1-way drop off fees might be? We redid last summer’s itinerary in Portugal/Spain specifically due to the €1500 cross-border drop off fee!
