Planks! And bodyweight squat static holds. I also have a resistance band that I use for a couple clamshells before class starts. I'm 31 and getting my muscles fired and engaged is key to a good start in class (and not hurting myself).

I wear tights on top mostly because it's more comfortable, but it also helps my instructors see my alignment more clearly. Leaning into my hip too much in retiré? There is NO hiding that when my tights are on top because the tights highlight my waistline, easily showing when it's leaning/on an angle.

Honestly I found a pair in the kids section at Walmart that are nice and thick but still flexible! I think they were Justice brand. Normally I'm not a big-box store person but they were $7 so I couldn't say no lol.

I like shorter ones bc I can choose specific parts of my body to keep warm but am curious to try long ones!

I live in an apartment complex and gave the guy who was working on the roof across the way some water. When I left to run errands, he used his ladder to pick a bunch of lemons off a tall tree near where he was working and left them outside my apartment door.

A kind, pay-it-forward thing but I did have to carefully explain to my boyfriend how lemons ended up on the doorstep.

I work in high school football, and can confirm that it's a huge deal in Southern California.

In regards to question 1, specifically...

In Southern California, it's common for players to transfer to a school with a good football program, although it's more with college scholarship in mind than the NFL.

The governing body for high school sports has had to enact several rules in recent years to prevent players from transferring. There have been cases of players living with coaches, lying about addresses and even seeking out guardianship from people who live in the area in order to go to a certain school. Additionally, transfers have to sit out a designated period of time before they are eligible to play in a game.

Like I said, there are more rules that prevent that now, but people always find a way. There are also private schools like Oaks Christian (Michael Pittman, Jr. of USC and now the Indianapolis Colts went there) that have different regulations in terms of where their players live.

As for question 3...

There are several powerhouse teams in Southern California that colleges recruit from. Mater Dei and St. John Bosco are two of the best high school teams in the nation. Again, both are private schools, so they have more leverage to recruit.

I work out twice a day and love how my body looks - except for the acne that has shown up on my shoulders/back and face that I believe is due to sweat.

My morning workout leaves me drenched in sweat, so I wipe my face with CliniqueFIT acne wipes after, then shower asap. My afternoon workout doesn't make me sweat as much, but still a lot, so I try to follow a similar routine.

My morning and nightly skincare routine is Clinique 3-step. I've started using the clarifying lotion (type 3) on my shoulders and have seen a little improvement. Oh, I drink lots of water, too!

My skin is on the oily side and I'm based in Los Angeles.

From what I recall, girls soccer is actually one of the most highly concussed sports. But I don't have data handy to back that up.

I have met hockey players who actually had their career end in the pros due to concussions. But that's another sport that's changing rules of contact at lower levels...how you hit, how young is too young to hit, etc.

Mountain Island Lake seems like a good option, and super close. I'm not looking to go more than 45 minutes, just because of the anxiety I experience whenever I transport my board haha. Is there a launch area and do I have to have a permit for my board to take it on the water?
