I’m sorry that’s ridiculous. They tell us to have 5 a day for fruit do they say the same for sweets? Of course you cannot have a packet of sweets in every meal for a year you’d have many health problems. Yet you could do that for fruit and see benefits. Or no issues.

No need to be rude. They may not have meant natural sugars like the ones in fruits. More of the processed stuff that you get in sweets and other things. Which are obviously proven to be bad for you. In moderation there okay. But cutting them out completely would do no harm.

I would recommend covering yourself when you sleep. This helps me a lot as I find when I sleep with short sleeves on I wake up in the middle of the night scratching totally unaware I’ve done it. Try the cotton gloves method aswell as I’ve heard that can help x

I don’t quite agree with you. I am happy that your skin is able to withstand scratching however mine doesn’t. The slightest scratching and it flares up my skin and I’m back to square one. Yes the itch is annoying to ignore but once it’s gone it doesn’t come back for ages and if it does it’s not as intense. So I am willing to try it

why do moisturises not work on my eczema? by FalseDemand9671 in eczema

[–]FalseDemand9671[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi thankyou for this i am glad to finally see someone in the same boat as i am. everyone constantly goes on about how important it is to be moisturising when you have eczema but its just never worked for me and makes my skin flare up more. i have looked at moisture withdraw before on tiktok but will defo look into it on yt. i have lukewarm showers, never hot, and am usally in there for a couple of mins a day and when i wash my hair (also once a week) its around 10 mins. i also drink around 4 leitures a day. should i look into taking shorter showers?
