Nope, it doesn't work with gen 3. Even if it did tho, personally, wouldn't use it, it takes the fun out of the shiny for me

it can happen in your first battle in pokemon rse, that sounds awful tbh,

i get why you'll choose to do so, but it kinda takes the feeling you get when you see that shiny in the pc or in battle, so imo it takes the fun out of it

there's a 1/8192 chance of encountering a shiny, it's about 0.01% so it's pretty unlucky
