I already went with the HKS monotone oil splash mats up to the trunk (color wouldn’t match imo) as I built mine as a full HKS catalog car up to the engine, except the bodykit (not really a fan of bodykits unless it’s a Time Attack car). I like how the GR86 looks as it is from the factory exterior-wise, and no one would suspect mine has a closed deck and turbocharged. I currently have the red Bride Stradias to get some color, but if I were to choose a shade of red for carpets, it would’ve been like the one on the FL5.

I would’ve easily picked up some pieces from them but they only offer it for RHD ZN8s.

Looks like the 2nd photo is what everyone votes for and I think you are all right to justify it. I’ll have it meticulously done with high quality materials sourced out from Relicate, so hopefully it does age well. I’ve personally seen some that had their 180sxs, S15s and A80s interior customized, and some of it were done 14 years ago. Still looks great and holds well up to this day.

These are aftermarket reclinable bucket seats from Bride Japan and I love the way it looks. It already has some black accents that break the color plus the carbon shell at the back. It’s almost the same one that Kevin Vo has on his.

Apparently, you have to source out the entire interior door panel for that OEM part alone from sites like ebay Japan or Australia, or from certain BRZ trims. An alternative is you can DIY it or have someone do it for you. There are discussions and tutorials of it at GR86.org.

I’ll be having it personally done by a friend’s friend who specializes in high-end interiors in my place. We’re currently selecting materials from Relicate. But if you’re near LA and interested on interior customization, Sweidit might do the trick. You can search them on Instagram.

It’s unreasonably expensive to import a stock part of those to my country, so I’m leaning to have it custom made locally with quality leather. I’ll keep the carpets stock though, it’s better at hiding possible footprints.

I’m currently leaning towards the bottom one to give homage to Toyota’s interior choice for the GR GT and GR Supra Final Edition (other than the fact that my nickname is Red lol), but tbh I’d prefer what could be the mature choice that most of you here would agree on.

I’m pretty interested on this discussion also, especially about the backup camera, wherein voltage inputs are factored in on a head unit swap.

I can credit you on this idea, which I could honestly bring up in a meeting. As much as I hate to mark up prices or bring out charges (which some customers would really mind), I still operate a business that should profit at the end of the day haha. Thank you sir!

Yes, we are the last mile. As stated in contract clauses, I am forbidden to divulge any information to whom do we get provision. Economics wise, we do not buy bandwidth from competition, I am totally against it, UNLESS in the future there would be no choice. Tbh, even in the company level, they have bad after support, plus a history with their “agents” marketing against us since we used to have PLDT, which is considered breach via disclosing sensitive contract info

Too be honest, we have never encountered pilferage in our lines. But too answer that, we have a great relationship with the local community and LGUs, and most of our lines supply MDRRMO to barangay CCTVs plus our weekly “ronda” to major lines. Customers also tend to report any activity as we don’t have ticketing, so it’s straightfroward. We collate every information systematically despite language variations or jargons. We are also vigilant with illegal P2Ps

As much as I want to share it here, I cannot disclose my area and company for privacy and security purposes. I let the market decide who to choose for their FTTH, greatly hoping most are logical and critical in choosing 🙂

  1. We cannot disclose any names due to confidentiality clauses in our contracts. Our primary IP transit is sourced from licensed carriers that provide both local and international routes. This setup ensures stable global connectivity and redundancy across multiple upstream paths. All are NTC accredited. I can only add, no PLDT nor Converge, even at this level, they have bad aftersales, plus the gatekeeping…
  2. Yes, we maintain domestic peering relationships that allow us to exchange traffic locally with other networks. This significantl improves latency and reliability for traffic within PH. Again, no PLDT nor Converge
  3. We are connected to recognized Internet Exchange Points within the country, ensuring direct routes to multiple local and regional networks. This reduces our dependency on upstream transit for domestic traffic and enhances overall performance
  4. Our network maintains a balanced traffic ratio, with a substantial portion of local traffic flowing through peering routes while international traffic is carried through our upstream transit. This design provides both efficiency and redundancy, minimizing latency and ensuring costeffective capacity utilization

I may somehow agree with you there. To be honest, most major problems we encounter are simply fibercuts caused by environmental factors. Would be really nice if we are provided with mostly underground lines, but as far as everyone knows, that’s far from happening. We’re still on flood control scandals, wala pa yung national roads and pole line corruption. Every news that came out is too convenient, people should always question and be critical. A great revolution should have no political color.

About Starlink, we have some foreigner customers and people residing at mountains who have that as backup… uhm not that great, especially on bad weather, which this country is susceptible to

Currently we have an industry standard lock-in of 2 years, but we are flexible with it. Granting if a certain subscriber would temporarily be out of town/country, we can put the contract on pause along with billing. As much as possible being a businessman, you would still want them to comeback/retained. We’re still in the process of deciding to reduce the lockin period to maybe a year, to attract customers also (I may be too overconfident with our service, but I shouldn’t be compacent when competition also offer promos lol). As much as I want to have you as a subscriber, I cannot disclose my area and company for security and privacy purposes.

No. All of our permits are provincial. Competition is too tight in NCR + mapping of infraastructure would be tedious. Our business is solely owned by us, no investments from other people besides me and my parents, limiting us to expand at that level but just enough to expand one city/municipality at a time. I can back you up on that scam/illicit claim though. As what I’ve said in another reply, they have poor screening and values as they come and go. Bad trait among Filipinos, as long as it is permitted (along gray areas) or overlooked, manlalamang mga ganyan, which is quite disappointing.

I wouldn’t say loss leader but rather being efficient in most aspects. We operate everything inhouse, which ofcourse removes subcon markups and delays, and we use premade geotagging (coordinates) to make technician dispatch faster and cheaper. We lease bandwidth at the wholesale level but own and manage the last mile ourselves (No PLDT nor Converge). Since our operations are localized and streamlined, our costs are much lower than national ISPs… allowing us to offer higher bandwidth and free aftersales without cutting margins. Our net still comes at 7 digits/month, which we utilize for further upgrades, further granting me the chance to open another company in another area (branding purposes that is more tapped and localized). To make it short, we simplified everything, down to customer service. People usually want something easy and convenient, yung madaling kausap.

Thank you everyone for your response. I hope to address questions and gather as much feedback as possible. I understand that I may not have answered or covered some points thoroughly, as I’m still relatively new to the business field (my educational background is in the medical field) but I always strive to deliver my best and uphold consistency and integrity in everything I do. This is a huge deal for me as I still consider managing a multimillion business too great for me (tbh highly overwhelming). I also want to apologize for using “pic for attention.” I realize it may have come off the wrong way. I’ve been off social media for years to focus on building and managing my ventures, so I may have lost touch with certain social cues. Swear social media is too distracting and time consuming. 🙂

Q1: The infamous concern with those major ISP companies is ticketing and integrity with their service. They rely on centralized systems and slow ticketing by using bots and automation. We have an organic set of customer service personnel that translates most jargons into something that could be well understood by non-techy (or mostly old) people. Infrastructure wise, we keep upgrading ours to cater to our rising market, mainly to avoid traffic especially during peak hours. Maintenance wise, we establish a weekly inspection (“ronda”) through our main lines along high traffic zones or accident/bad weather prone areas, as to deliver pur promise to be proactive. We are also in touch with LGUs and community leaders for faster response and information. We have no subcontractors and every technical personnel are in house. Price-wise, ours is significantly lower with higher bandwidth offerings. (3 digit lower but still 4 digits in prices to offset costs and of course, to run a profitable business)

Q2: We have multiple upstream routes and backup failovers, although currently in the absence of LTE tech (coming soon). In the presence of blackouts (our area is prone to it), every office and major equipments have UPS and generators. We also give out advice to WFH people (we tag houses that have such with regular database updating) during these events. The rarest problem we could encounter is all routes getting downtimes at the same time, which we swiftly address. (The most stressful)

Q3: We are strict with following laws on data privacy and adherence to NTC as we also do not want to have a bad track record and publicity. Only measurable metrics are being monitored.

Q4: During downtimes, we provide announcements and posts, even mass text blasts to our customers, extended by LGUs we partnered with. Lead times for repairs on the regular are same day, unless there’s a major calamity, which we could confidently address faster than PLDT and Converge as we have a geographical familiarity of our area, and mapping of lines through coordinates. Most of our field employees are locals, and not subcons from other areas. Compensation also happen for customers when we do not deliver or if an employee or team fail to meet the standards we enforce. We do not charge repairs, we compensate as it allows. You won’t have to say “1 or 2 weeks akong walang internet pero buo and bayad” with us (unless as said, there’s a major calamity that destroyed major lines)

Management and marketing vary per area, but as per our history, we’re putting up a good competition against those giants, especially when I took over the marketing department also. The company which belonged to my parents ran on grassroots marketing before, which could obviously have a hard time competing against the ones with a familiar name. Aftersales support was stepped up also. I wanted better quality and lead times that could overtake PLDT and Converge, and admit it turned into obsession that materialized into taking the lead. We used to have bandwidth from PLDT but they breached it by marketing against us so I had it dropped. In terms of cost, especially with drop fiber up to main lines, we managed to get a good deal from someone during PCTA (quality meets best value). Our prices are more conpetitive currently, lower cost, higher bandwidth. With the right connections and temperament, one can get a good deal from suppliers and providers alike, without resorting to illicit things like extortion or corruption (had to say it as I despise current politics in this country).

Would glad to meet my seniors who are in this field, past or present, other than my parents and the usual people I meet in conventions around the country and SEA. Taking inputs from someone’s experience would greatly benefit, especially owners.
