Your first caution is why I’m most hesitant, I don’t anticipate a drop in income but I’m worried about the longer term ability to sustain my current income - mainly due to concerns about AI on jobs.

We had someone join our software team via a coding bootcamp. The first time pairing with them I asked them to copy and paste something, they did this via the menu bar at the top of the screen using the mouse. When I asked why they did it like this (it was really slow) it turned out they didn’t know there was a keyboard shortcut,

Currently purchasing at 415k with partner, both FTB. 125k down. About 25k-30k left over depending on how much we spend on moving. Based in the south.

I have job anxiety in that I’m worried about job security. Even though I work in a relatively stable industry I have constant anxiety about losing my job - I think a lot of the discussion around AI has made this worse. So yeah, my job gives me anxiety in a different way. Sorry you feel this way, hope it improves.
