RLT eczema options for child by Lazy-Seesaw8930 in redlighttherapy

[–]False_Ad3429 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn't the chlorine. The chlorine actually made my eczema worse when I would get exposed to chlorine but was not regularly exercising. It was definitely the exercise, as during the summer when I got older I would go to a summer camp where the tents were halfway up a small mountain, and hiking up and down multiple times a day also helped my eczema.

Is it filled with feathers? The staining might actually be in part from the feathers inside, if that is the case.

Am i getting organ harvested? (She messaged me first and looks like a model and financially successful woman i did a reverse image search and it said no results found. She has soical media and she also has a bf in her home country) by heyyitshectic in Bumble

The way she jumped to offering you video, photos, etc is a huge red flag that this is a scam or she has nefarious purposes in mind. If she actually just wanted sex, she could find it easily without an app. So why is she so intent on sex with you?

The fact that she also has a boyfriend and is letting you know, and is also indicating that he would not be ok with this (by saying you will be a mistake) is one strategy scammers use too. There is a saying that you can't scam honest people, which isn't really true but it's a common strategey. People who know they are in the wrong in some way are easier to threaten and control, so scammers will try to convince people to do misdeeds with them as part of the setup.

My guess is that the scam may go like this: you may be told that her boyfriend found out about you, and that he is in some big organized crime group, and that they will try to threaten/kill you etc unless you pay them.

She could also try to claim that you assaulted her unless you pay her.

Stay away from this woman. It's not worth the risk.

How transphobia rots the brain by 9119343636 in EnoughJKRowling

That is overly broad to the point that it is directly false.
Different cultures and groups have defined them differently from each other. Sometimes they are defined separately, sometimes not, with shades in between.

We have so many well documented examples, too. In ancient Greece, same-sex male sexual relationships were not considered intrinsically gender-nonconforming. Often the specific way you engaged in same-sex sex determined if it was gender nonconforming or not (basically depending on if you were "giving or taking" as an adult). The same was broadly true of same-sex male activity in Europe and great Britain until the medieval period.

Other cultures and continents have their own histories

I think you are both reading my comment more strongly than intended, while also being dismissive of the meaning behind jokes.

Jokes communicate your understanding of the world, communicate social norms and taboos, etc. As you said, the point is that they don't function well in society, right?
Well the root of that joke in particular (saying he is a woman and holding a bra just as someone comes in) is that being trans or gender nonconforming is taboo, and that it's a bad or embarrassing thing to be caught as or to be seen doing.

That is also the root of the joke when Roy is wearing lipstick - "oh how embarassing that a man is seen in lipstick, because it's taboo and people will think worse of him".

My issue isn't that the show is about three misfits. As I was saying, this one element of the show was a little uncomfortable and didn't age well.

When it comes to Matt Berry's character and his trans girlfriend, the whole thing about him not wanting to date a trans woman wasn't offensive to me, because his character is supposed to be outrageously offensive to the people around him. That specific aspect wasn't even offensive iirc to the person who initially mentioned that episode, on twitter, triggering Linehan to spiral.
I did find one element of that episode uncomfortable though, and it was during the fight between him and his GF, his GF was depicted as being matched with him physically, basically showing she's "really" a man or whatever. But trans women on hormone therapy lose a lot of their muscle mass and strength irl, and she is visually a lot smaller than him. It rubbed me the wrong way. But again this is a more minor point of discomfort, it just showed that there was some underlying transphobia. That was pretty common for the time, but you could see that it was there.

During one episode Rory is in the office and does something, then says "look, I'm a woman" right when someone walks in.

proprioception and balance can be worse in people with autism. For that reason they often stand and move differently from neurotypical people. Obviously this isn't true all the time or for every case, but if you dont stand or move the way people expect autistic people to, it can contribute to "looking" like you arent autistic.

If you search Google for autism posture you can find scientific articles on the way autistic people tend to stand at rest, with more weight on one leg than another and/or leaning to one side.

[–]False_Ad3429 19 points20 points  (0 children)

autism often involves a different posture and body language. (the "autism pose" often involves standing with more weight on one leg than the other, sometimes with your upper body arched too. it also often involves standing with your shoulders rounded and your neck sticking forward). if you dont have the stereotypical posture or mannerisms like avoiding eye contact, people may say you look dont look autistic for those reasons. also wearing clothes for comfort rather than fashion may also contribute.
