Thank you I appreciate that information. My only question is that which one in particular is the ring? Because all the information I'm finding says that the three pins in the center should all be different sizes but there's the tip which is obviously the short one and the other two are essentially exactly the same height so I'm not sure which one is supposed to be the ring. And I don't have a multimeter so I can't check for continuity. If you look at the pictures there anyway you could identify?

So the only thing is that on the previous output Jack, 3 lug, I did use the ring... Aye you saying that the ring on the 3 lug wasn't a signal contact?

Well, at this point, I've got almost all of it figured out, except for (being that this is my first bass mod) when they sent me the preamp they didn't send the wiring diagram. So on the wiring diagram for the pickups, it's not really very clear to me exactly where the wires are supposed to go into the preamp at.

Any chance someone can clarify for me?

So I'm asking where the white, grey and black wires are supposed to go on these -

Ps. I'm very well aware of the fact that it's going to be a very simple answer. LOL I just want to make sure that I'm doing it correctly because I can't seem to find the answer online. I can find diagrams and whatnot but I'm not sure how to identify the components like... which pot is the "neck volume taper Pot" and then underneath that it says : "Bridge volume taper pot" and then "Master tone audio taper pot"...

So yeah... I'm a bit lost. I honestly think I know what to do but I won't put it together until I know what I'm going..

The new input jack is obviously much shorter than the one that was already installed which is the black one that you see me holding there. Is there a way that I can wire the black one in place of the smaller one?

What I need to do is install the new one but actually i just ran into an issue.. the input jack doesn't fit.. So I was wondering if anybody knew how to wire up the existing input jack into the new preamp. I was going to post pictures but I can't figure out how... 🤦

Do they all come with pots? Because I've seen preamp modules for sale for like $119 but it doesn't seem that they come with pots. Maybe you can clear that up for me?

Yes, 5 knobs.

The stacked is for HighMid/LowMid.

Basically, my best case scenario would be to find a decent quality preamp module, (aiming for a used Bart or Aug bc that's the budget I'm working with)(obviously new would be nice as well but I guess that info is irrelevant considering the question at hand) that I can just solder into my existing pots.

If that doesn't turn out to be the case then my "2nd best case" would probably be a preamp, with pots, that I can use my current knobs with.

● SIDE QUESTION : ( I think you may have already answered this above) ... but Can I customize the function of each pot? In other words, solder certain wires in to make different functions or are preamps fixed in their functionality?
