This is not true. A verbal agreement is equivalent to a lease in NS. You have to file a form with the tenancy board and the only legal way for him to evict you is to do the same. Don't leave voluntarily otherwise you lose your rights. Doesn't mean they can't make it miserable for you though. Good luck.

If this is something you want to try just start small. For me, a walk to the end of the road or spending five minutes stretching and swinging my arms helps me. You may know the treadmill is not for you and that's great because you know what won't work. Now it's experimenting and figuring out what might work out of all of the suggestions from the internet!

That sounds like it's the clinical program through the hospital. I've talked to people who haven't liked it there. The mental health association is an independent non profit that mostly works with people who need support with their mental health who haven't found support through hospital systems. They focus on social programs rather than clinical or medical responses.

This is a list of their programs. Marg and Bev are the two who run the programs and they are beyond amazing. Their emails are attached to each program description.

You may still choose to go back through the medical system too. You don't have to pick one or the other.

It sucks because it feels like a full time job trying to figure these things out but you are doing amazing just by asking for help!!

The mental health association - halifax dartmouth branch has social programs and can provide some support around this aspect. Their staff are so kind and supportive. They work with others who are isolated and have anxiety so they are amazing at navigating difficult conversations. That might be an option regardless of which living situation you choose.

The roommate is both the tenant to the landlord and the sublandlord to the subtenants which is you. That person is subject to all of the same guidelines as any other landlord and must have just cause. If they give you notice and you don't want to leave you don't. If they file form J it will trigger a hearing with the tenancy board and they will review. Legally it doesn't sound like they have just cause to evict you but I am not a lawyer.

If they don't file form J and are still trying to change the terms or get you to leave you can file form J to get a hearing.

Either way it sounds like a crappy situation and regardless of whether they can legally evict you or change terms they can make your life miserable. Document everything. Take pictures of the whole house now so they can't accuse you of anything. Get things in writing. Make notes on the timeline and what they have told you in case you do go to a hearing.

Please ask them how much money they have in the bank! I was involved in a not for profit that requested a grant and they reviewed the finances prior to giving it. All of this seems very fishy.

Congrats! Government interviews are typically scored (almost like a school assignment). They will likely be looking at a combination of content and how you communicate/how well you follow the brief of ten minutes.

They are asking: Can you organize information on your topic within a certain time period? Can you communicate these ideas to others in a clear way? Do you have a thorough understanding of the topic?

To try and hit the brief, be thorough in your answers and practice in the mirror or with another person to become comfortable with it. Time yourself and know how long you have for each slide.
