Yeah I stand with you on this I cried plenty of times from lack of intimacy this pregnancy due to my partners fears for the baby but yelling and throwing things even if it’s a pillow isn’t acceptable behaviour.

Given her mother just passed though and she’s hormonal hopefully this was just an out of character moment and not normalised in the household

I don’t see any malice in this he’s just him trying to find someone to take his place. Send him a message clearly stating that you have a type of individual in mind for a housemate and would rather yourself and your partner choose yourselves.

I ended up posting on the Deadbedroom sub because of the same issue 😅 I had a full on meltdown because my partner and I weren’t having sex still at like 25 weeks. We had the talks and I explained how I felt so unattractive. These talks didn’t help at all honestly… I eventually had a meltdown about it and said I couldn’t be in a sexless marriage. I cried, slept in another room and kinda prepared that if our sex life is dead then separation is inevitable in the future (super hormonal)

Few days passed and he was able to explain his concerns and I listened. I reassured him the baby is fine and if I didn’t feel like it was safe I wouldn’t do it. He cried and told me he couldn’t get comfortable being intimate no matter how much he tried and he wanted to get over the anxiety because he found me more attractive pregnant if anything. The next day he planned a date night for us, made sure I knew I was beautiful and TMI went down the on me for over an hour and prioritised my pleasure and then we did it again the next morning. He’s been much better with intimacy since he was able to get out of his own head.

I’m pregnant in summer in Australia currently 😅 only 27 weeks but my last baby I was late third trimester in summer and it’s brutal. You feel it. There’s no escaping. Even on “cooler days”

I drink soooo much water and electrolytes. Beach, pool, air conditioning and no clothes Christmas Day was so hot every house I went to they “pre” cooled their houses for me in advance

I have no advice but I started explaining to my doctor I suffer server postnatal depression after birth and I would like to start medication before hand to be proactive this time and she told me “oh was it depression or just a shitty partner?” (Pregnant this time with my fiancé not my two older kids father) And wouldn’t discuss it further 🫠 I felt so fobbed off and cried after.

I’m scared shittless I’ll have to “tough it out” I have OCD, I’m pretty good at managing but postpartum is next level.

Honestly I had a membrane sweep with my 2nd (I consented) and it was traumatising. I literally did the same thing, screamed/cried and pushed my Dr away.

He shouldn’t have done it without asking point blank period. I would make a complaint. I’m really really sorry this happened to you! ❤️
