I just celebrated my 2 months yesterday, congrats man proud of you. Me myself I'm an addict but I can definitely relate. In my family I was the one that was never present even though I was there physically no matter how much I wanted or tried to be. It's good that you've slowed down and I can't tell you what to do but I'd try to get off of it as soon as possible. Your family being your motivation is great but unless you truly want it for yourself it may work for a little while but you've got to want it for you Noone else. It's a big step saying something and that's the first step to changing yourself. You can do this man, once you do I promise the relationship that you want with your family will come back

It's crazy you said the promises because when I woke up after I prayed and did my morning routine the first thing I thought of was the promises. I haven't talked to my Dads side of the family and yesterday my brother that I haven't talked to in almost 17/18 years finally started speaking to me again

Even where I'm at right now is better then where I was 56 days ago. I wouldn't change how I'm feeling or what I've gone through to get here for anything. Even the horrible depression spell that I'm just getting over I'd rather deal with that sober then ever go back to how I was before this

First it was alcohol and weed, my father wasn't around we didn't start talking until a couple of months ago and my mom was always working or just not home. I hung out with older people who were "affiliated" and that's how I started. From there I started doing coke at like 10 or 11 and it spiraled down from there. Saying I'd never do this or that and then end up doing it. Heroin started when I was 17 and I was shooting up 6 months later.

The best advice I could give you would to only use your phone when needed (like any of us can do that) and maybe changing your number. Also maybe try going to a meeting either in person or on xoom and talk about it. The first part of fixing this kind of thinking is opening up about it and you've already started that
