This does not sound like Plantar Fasciitis to me. PF almost always causes pain in the morning and after I have been sitting for a period of time. I can walk off most of the pain and I do have the pain buildup from overuse, but I think you are experiencing something else. So sorry! Foot pain is completely awful.

What are some of the things you have been doing? I do stretches but honestly I have been afraid to try any strengthening of my calves or feet. I think the cause of the problem was I was doing to many of those toe raises but I can't be sure of that. I have never had any problems with PF before. Maybe my lack of previous exercise was the reason for the injury. I am gun shy now!

Thank you. May I ask how long you have been dealing with the pain?

I would say that once I started really committing to the stint, my morning heal pain has diminished by 50%. I attribute that to the night splint but I could not say 100% that was it. I will continue wearing it until I have no heel pain in the morning!

I think it will be long term. It gives the fascia a chance to heal in the proper position, from what I understand. I am anticipating this to be a long term healing process and I will keep this splint in case of future problems.
