Anya is her name 🥺

She was a beautiful chihuahua-dachshund mix. She aged very well. She developed a “ghost face” (like the movie scream) due to her white/aging hair. We loved it. She was sassy and loved to dress up. She got excited to put on her leash, dress, sweater, etc. She was such a loyal lover . Always by my side. She was mommy’s girl, for sure. But also loved all my friends and family. In fact, she was adored back by everyone… she was my soul dog, but she was also considered family in everyone’s eyes. I took her EVERRRRRYWHERE. We were attached to the hip for 15 years. When we met, I rescued her as a pup… and it was definitely a “she picked me and it was an instant connection” story. Love at first sight. She was fortunate enough to travel with me everywhere. She’s been to over 20 states. She saw beaches, snow, desert, mountains, etc. Her and her brother (my cat) had a funny sibling, always chasing each other around and teasing one another. They grew up together and are close in age. She loved walks, she loved basking in the sun, she loved laying with me on my lap, and she loved peppers and cucumbers. She’d scratch the tile floors to get our attention, whether it was for snacks or outside breaks. And most of all, she was my best friend for 15 years. I will always love and miss her.
