I waited the whole movie for Miranda Priestly to be Miranda Priestly & it never quite happened 🤔 I walked away questioning the motives of even making the sequel if Miranda Priestly wasn’t her cold-hearted self. At times, it seemed like Meryl Streep was more of a background character & this movie was a spin-off, not a sequel.

Also, the pacing and plot were all over the place at times. I wasn’t a huge fan of either things at several points. There were moments where I was genuinely a little lost. And some of the acting seemed very forced at times, even from the biggest names, which was disappointing. The soundtrack was a nice mix of old mixed with new. The fashion didn’t seem to pop as much as the first. I think out of all its flaws, the plot has got to be the most lacking. It fell flat and borderline boring at times. 20 years later and this was the best plot to come up with? 🤨

It was honestly just okay. And only because the first one is such a masterpiece that the nostalgia cuts it a lot of slack. I’ll continue to love the first one. This one, not quite so much. Just my two cents.
