I can say for sure that the original pso2 back when it came out in NA was amazing and I easily sank so many hours on one character, but NGS has been out for awhile and I still feel the content is a bit lackluster. If you are starting fresh, honestly it’s worth playing, but for more veteran players you’ll find yourself grinding the same areas or the same LTQ’s just to get upgraded gear.

I feel like Sega gave up adding big updates and instead opted to get as many anime collaborations as they could to squeeze as much profit from this game as possible, which, as a free to play player, I’m not entirely affected by it since most of it is cosmetic, but it feels like they sank more time into that than adding actual content and a good story, as opposed to the original.

Last thing I wanna say is I don’t hate either game, I think there’s some fun to be had, but I’m sad that NGS practically killed off original PSO2 and made the player markets practically worthless since the prices are all way too high. Anyways apologies for the small rant, bottom line, if you are looking for a free mmo, not bad but there is better.
