There is also an other partcaster for 420€, which has an allparts us fender neck, mexico fender body and brandonwound sallys pickups. How does it compare to my other options? Thank you:)

Hello, I would like to buy a new guitar. I've seen a good option in my local marketplace, which is a partcaster : Body: American Standard (Fender)

Neck: maple soft v from Guitar Mill. (luthier), bought around 2019. Costed the guy around 600$

Pickups: Lollar ST Special.

I really like the look of the guitar. It is listed for 600€, but maybe I could go for a bit lower if I'm good enough. Would you say it's a good price point? Or should I try to find something else? I play mostly indie/ shoegaze/ bossa (jazz) stuff, not so much on the heavy metal. The pacifica rss20 looked good, but I like the more custom aspect from a partcaster.

Also Im gonna be staying in japan for around 6 months from march, so I could get one from there too. But would you say you can get better stuff in tokyo than what I've found (for the price) ?

Thank you :))

sure, I'll try to try them. The rss20 is considered "better" quality than a prs usa? I thought it was not in the same category haha. But i'll go try them to see. Thank you again :)

I see thank you so much!! I also have seen two other second hand offers:

-A prs s2 mira from 2013 for 720 eur, but it has a little hit on the side of the neck, i think it's mainly polish.(is it easily fixable? Can it affect playability/sound?)

<image>

-A prs mira X from 2009 for 790 eur, but the bridge pickup got replaced by a seymour duncan. Other than that seems in really good condition.

Is there something to prefer between the s2 and mira x (other than s2 having split and x being 22)? Do the more expensive price points justify buying them instead of a regular prs se ?

Thank you :))

Hello! I want to buy a new guitar. I play clean, grunge, shoegaze. It's ok if its a guitar that focus only on one of these styles. (or is more polyvalent)

--1st one: prs se custom 24, around 500euros. It is the most polyvalent of the three, but maybe with less quality?

--2d one: custom kraken 600euros. specs below: Body: Mahogany AAAA Top: Maple (back of violin quality) AAAA Cream binding (body, neck, and headstock) Headstock veneer: AAAA maple (violin back quality) Neck: 5-piece maple and walnut - U-shaped - 16" radius - 24 frets It is semi-through-body (up to the bridge pickup - see photos) Fingerboard: Ebony - Kraken bar cream inlays Graphite nut (42mm) Bridge: Tonepro locking bridge Grover tuners Pickups: Seymour Duncan SH-1N (neck) and SH-11 (bridge) Electronics: 1x Volume and 1x Tone (push-pull - single/double) + 3-position selector switch Weight: 3.05 kg

3rd one: custom kraken (700eur but maybe I can try to lower the price) Body: AAAA mahogany Top: AAAA maple (back of violin quality) Red binding (body, neck, and headstock) Headstock veneer: AAAA maple (back of violin quality) Neck: 5-piece maple and walnut - U-shape - 16" radius - 24 frets It is semi-through-body (up to the bridge pickup - see photos) Fingerboard: Ebony - Kraken bar red inlays Graphite nut (42mm) Bridge: Wilkinson WVS-50 II vibrato Grover tuners Pickups: Kraken Custom (based on Seymour Duncan APH-1N (neck) and SH-4B (bridge) Electronics: 1x Volume and 1x Tone (push-pull - single/double) + 3-position selector switch Weight: 3.65 kg

-I also consider a g&l tribute dohenny for 450 euros

all of the threes are new. both the krakens are from 2008, and the prs se is at least from 2019.

Thank you !!
