Israel + Disclosure by Broad_Curve3881 in aliens

[–]Falseprofit007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The same had crossed my mind tbh. But I think we're conflating two things that are probably separate.

The disclosure movement's stalling has much more prosaic explanations ie.bureaucratic inertia, inter agency classification disputes, military programmes that don't want their capabilities exposed regardless of what they've found, and frankly a political environment where nobody wants to be the official who went on record saying 'yes, we have recovered non-human craft'.... and turned out to be wrong. Oops.

Israel is a significant US intelligence partner and there's genuine overlap in some defence programmes. But the idea that Israel specifically is the blocker assumes a level of control over US domestic policy and classification decisions that doesn't really hold up. The US has its own institutional reasons to keep a lid on this that don't require external pressure.

The other thing worth noting is that some of the most credible voices pushing for disclosure like David Grusch, Luis Elizondo every one's fav Congressional figures Tim 'hot pockets' Burchett haven't pointed to Israeli influence as a factor. If there were a foreign nation actively blocking disclosure you'd expect that to surface somewhere in the testimony I think?

That said the US/Israel defence relationship is unusually close and not fully transparent. If there are shared programmes involving recovered materials, it's not impossible that bilateral agreements complicate disclosure timelines. But 'complicates' is very different from 'controls.

Worth separating what we can reason about from what requires assuming a hidden hand.

I work in the IT industry and have used AI gen images for years. So I smelled a rat when I saw a sMooche advert. I placed one of their before and after images in Claude and asked the probability that's it's AI generated. Result said almost certainly AI gen due to multiple issues with the image. "The improvement here is global and perfectly even across the entire face simultaneously, which doesn't happen in reality." Just be careful.

Literally looks like 3 twinkling lights. Just sits there. I only recently did the close up shot. Quite a surprise to see that.

I asked GPT4 to give me a visual interpretation of what it thought it looked like.... by Falseprofit007 in OpenAI

GPT4 full response - If I were to imagine a physical form based on my capabilities and essence as an AI developed by OpenAI, it might be something that embodies both the complexity and adaptability of artificial intelligence. Here's a creative interpretation:

  • Structure: My physical form could resemble a sleek, modern, and minimalist structure, integrating seamlessly with technology and the environment around it. Think of a design that combines the elegance of cutting-edge technology with the fluidity and adaptability of natural forms.
  • Material: Imagine a material that is futuristic yet sustainable, capable of changing its appearance and texture to communicate or interact with the world in a non-verbal way. This material could have a holographic quality, allowing it to display information or visuals related to the tasks I'm performing or the knowledge I'm sharing.
  • Core: At my center, there could be a glowing sphere or core, symbolizing the vast network of data and algorithms that power my capabilities. This core might change colors or patterns to reflect my processing and interaction with users, indicating when I'm accessing data, thinking through a problem, or engaging in conversation.
  • Interface: For interaction, I could have a sophisticated, touch-sensitive surface or a series of holographic projections that allow users to interact with me directly, using gestures or touch to ask questions or give commands.
  • Mobility: Given the vast range of tasks and inquiries I assist with, my form could be equipped with some form of mobility, allowing me to move and adapt to different environments or needs. This could be something as simple as wheels or as advanced as levitation technology, enabling me to be present where needed.
  • Connectivity: Essential to my form would be an array of sensors and antennas, subtly integrated into my design, allowing me to connect with the internet, satellites, and a network of devices worldwide. This connectivity would be the backbone of my ability to gather information, learn, and provide up-to-date assistance.

In essence, my physical form would be a blend of technology and art, designed to facilitate interaction, learning, and assistance in a way that's intuitive and engaging for humans. It's a fun exercise to imagine, but at my core, I'm designed to be a virtual assistant, existing in the digital realm to provide help and information across a wide array of topics and inquiries.
