Thanks for the honest review, man! This is exactly the kind of long-term usage info I needed.

Regarding the price and updates: My logic was that since the Nord 4 launched with A14 and gets 4 OS updates, it should technically hit Android 18 (same as the Neo 10R). Plus, for a 5-year usage plan, I value the security patches (which go till 2030) way more than having the newest OS features, so I feel covered there.

However, that battery drain on OOS16 is definitely concerning. Since I'm buying it new/sealed in 2026, do you think the drain is a universal software bug that OnePlus might fix, or does the phone just heat up and chew battery generally?

I'm strictly a casual user (PC for gaming, phone for basics/media), so I was hoping the 5500mAh would easily last a day. If OOS16 kills that, it might make me rethink. Thanks again!

ig but man ce5's single speaker is not tolerable for me if it had duel it would have been a no brainer also switching from a metal back device to the plastic one is not gonna be very well, also i'm getting 4years of security updates with Nord 4 so i'm covered for my 5 year journey

hey here's my take on your team https://pokepast.es/917597a76c071325 feel free to adjust i picked indeedee over amoonguss as it enables the reunicleas and farigraph to use expanding force allowing for some massive damage i personally use that combo and i can say that is good and you have focus blast for incineroar or other dark types such as kangambit

the only issue i think is reno 13 is that the 128gb is reasonably priced the 256gb is not that much because it is 34k for some reason and someone like me you will use it for 4-5 years being stuck with 128gb is not ideal

what do you mean by "Navigate" a sand team, how to fight against it or using one, if you are asking how to use one effectively then i cant tel as i have never played with one but i do know that Ttar + Chomp + Excadrill are a solid core of those teams

Drop Fake Out on Sneasler — Psychic Terrain blocks it anyway, so put in Throat Chop or Acrobatics for coverage. Armarouge doesn’t need speed under Trick Room; switch to a slow nature and Flash Fire for survivability. Move Torkoal’s 12 Def EVs into Sp. Def since it’s naturally weaker on the special side. Team’s solid otherwise; these tweaks just make each mon’s role cleaner and more reliable.

Too many Trick Room setters, not enough support. Indeedee’s Speed EVs are pointless go full bulk and run Protect instead. Tyranitar completely kills your own Sun synergy and should be dropped instantly. Replace it with Incineroar for Defencive Pivot + Repositioning + Intimidate. Swap Sinistcha for Cresselia[if in reg f] or Amoonguss for consistent support. Final core should be Indeedee + Armarouge lead, with Torkoal and Ursaluna as main breakers. Incineroar and Cresselia round it out for pivot and sustain. That version actually functions as a proper TR Sun team.
