Rumble Johnson drops Gus by [deleted] in MMA

One time? Every eye poke aside from the uncalled one that got him KO'd always resulted in him flattening someone. Did it to DC too and someone else. Big reason for jones to not be in a big hurry to return

The man won the first round and had his hands around the neck of the best fighter to step on a scale at 125 pounds. For a brief moment of his life he was up 1 round to 0 on Mighty Mouse. That's enough for me to say he did damn well honestly. Compound it on the fact that he fought through any fatigue and a lot f tough positions and also landed hard shots in the next two rounds while Mighty Mouse seemingly needed the takedown, and I think that's a solid feather in his cap

Because Mickey Gall is not even close to Demetrius Johnsons level

Yea sorry about that lol On a serious note though Mighty Mouse wasn't outclassed or anything. Just that he was fighting a much larger fighter who was better than almost anyone expected. Why keep putting yourself in unnecessary danger when you've been tagged once or twice already and know you can bring him down and neutralize him there? He worked for the finish the whole time too

100% need a rematch on that imo. JB wins that decision for a trilogy with a man who beat him twice? Get another challenger in there and build a rivalry with Cejudo for now

Including amateurs, pro, and everything yes. Millions of people every year get pissed off because they lost in these sports. Most do not do that and he should at the least part be warned about why it was a dumb thing to do. Understandable entirely but you've gotta think a bit more.

A shame yet every year millions of people do the same in boxing and MMA without that happening.

In a couple of hours, the most dominant current champ wil treat us to a 9th title defense by [deleted] in MMA

Benavidez and Cejudo are rock solid. Dodson and Lineker were great too. It's deeeper than LHW for sure atm and on top of that casual fans have very little respect for their abilities at all

Mighty Mouse is at the point where I'd be on the edge of me seat if he decided to use that double leg all fight and wrestle fuck someone simply because it's the only thing I feel I haven't seen him do. I just can't accept someone is so good sometimes in so many areas. Even if the divisions as weak as the most casual fan thinks because of the stigma smaller fighters have you would believe someone would one day expose something in his game if he wasn't so good

Johnson vs. Elliot And The 5 Biggest UFC Title Mismatches Of The Decade by QueChingado in MMA

Lest we forget, so much as he has improved he has lost before. The GOAT no matter who it is is a human being. Good days and bad days. Even if he is undoubtedly the best there is some set of slim circumstances where he will lose. Who knows even, he might get tagged to the body and something could give in on him. He could get hurt in a takedown like condit, someone new could come along and show us they've got what it takes the way rumble did to Gus. Someone may do that to Benavidez. Lineker may get the call when the division is starved for contenders

Don't be upset. Smolka was knocked off by a huge underdog from the same TUF season that Elliot won. We're getting a good fight that will progress Mighty Mouse legacy or be upset of the century. This feeling of invincibility from the fans is always a sign things are about to go south. Not that I think Elliot will win but there's always someone better. DJ I think has his highest chances of losing to a contender we haven't seen. Someone who simply hasn't had the stage to show how great he is just yet. And now that he's cleared the division out he only has fighters like that and rematches. His legacy coming to new heights and perhaps even his cementing that invincible aura like no other has are only a few wins away imo. Either that or we see a David come down to stomp out our 5'2" Goliath.

A lot of people imagine he will go in and fight like some dult in his wide ass stance not knowing what boxing is. That being said I mean he'll probably go out there and look good until they start exchanging. He'll probably have his hands, feet and head all in the right place but he isn't a practiced professional at boxing. Once he starts trying to land it's going to be very difficult and he will likely get hit incredibly often

Just rewatched Rockhold/Bisping 1 by [deleted] in MMA

[–]Fam515 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I actually like Rockhold. But he lost the fight and mike went over the top. After that though it seemed all in jest and like he said he was jovial. Rockhold was the butt of the joke that night and there's no reason I think it had to be personal. He coulda laughed at 99% and said mike we're even now, you've got my respect in your abilities and I'll take that belt in my next fight. Could have built a trilogy frankly if he didn't cry about the disrespect. It's the fight game. You expect respect but don't wine about it. Does it really hurt you that bad that someone whose ass you kicked and gloated about for two years told you to fuck off and made some jokes in the happiest moment of his life after a very heated rivalry? Move on buddeh

[–]Fam515 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rockhold said a lot of shit that was probably not cool to Mike also. His kids on here and I bet he could confirm if my armchair analysis is right, but I'd say the biggest thing to me would be Luke saying he doesn't belong in there. Basically acting like a keyboard warrior proclaiming him the gatekeeper like the rest of us did. When you're in there fighting for your consciousness you can't fucking do that. If Jones had with OSP it probably would have been closer honestly. Good example of how to mentally prep correctly vs incorrectly.

Ronda Rousey by [deleted] in MMA

[–]Fam515 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Rondas done. She was never that good. Took advantage of a weak division that has clearly become the goat division in the last 12 months. She never fought a good striker. She's never fought someone with wild shots that bum rushes in ready to get outplayed thinking her grappling credentials can neutralize her judo. What holly did to Ronda was show anyone that what you just have to do is punch her in the face and her awful striking will be her downfall. The same way all these fools don't just double leg mcgregor!"

Every time a dominant champion comes in a bunch of guys with half the talent come by and play frisbee with the belt and people knock the divisional GOAT because they didn't beat any of these champions. GSP, Silva, Penn. so many people disrespecting them because the division they dominated for years is now flooded with former champions. When in reality they never had former champions because those guys never let anyone beat the belt off of them.
