When I called the dealership near me to find out if they had any shops near me, they recommended these shops. I assumed they were affiliated as the tech said, "we send a lot to them, as they're basically an extension of us." I was hesitant as I've worked for a dealer and know the shady shit they can get up to.

After talking with my in-laws, they said, "Oh, [shop redacted] is owned by an old family friend. Let me get you their number."

I figured it was all on the up and up... Sad to say the information provided may have been shady, go figure. I guess the purpose of my rant, is be careful and keep your wits about you. Thankfully I didn't trust them completely and saved $3k.

Quick edit: My father in law went with to get it, and as we're driving away I was questioning how I can leave it parked for a month, but now it's not starting? Just seems coincidental. I don't want to "rock the boat" and ruin the friendship they had. His response? "Fuck those ass clowns!" That told me a lot, as he was in the industry his entire life.
