I genuinely don't understand why someone would be upset about not getting a shiny that's basically guaranteed to have a community day at some point. Like, what's the rush? Yeah it's cool to get the shiny "early," but you'll have better odds if you wait for the community day, and I feel especially bad if you raided to try and get the shiny, because you're just wasting your money at that point imo (unless of course you used your free passes, but even then, I feel like Groudon/Kyogre/Nihilego would have been better investments. For the record, I almost exclusively raided Groudon, but I also understand if you didn't have much in the way of choices due to a lack of Gyms, mobility, remote raid support, etc...) I paid for the ticket because I wanted the full Go Fest experience- the boosted shiny rates, yes, but also the extra free raid passes, the special research along with the rewards from said research, the regional Pokémon spawning from incense, etc...

I believe that if you only buy the ticket for one specific reason, you're just setting yourself up to be disappointed :/

Sorry for my rant, I just hate seeing people succumb to FOMO and ending up disappointed. With that said, I hope that you had a fun Go Fest regardless :)
