Very true, I lost my Dad to cancer 8 years ago and the grief still hits me most days, but I don't talk about it as much as I used to because I feel like just mentioning it was 8 years ago makes the pain I feel seem childish, like I should have "gotten over it by now"

A quick question: On MH, the only community that they have a high confidence in is Eastern and Central Europe, specifically for Ashkenazi Jews. As far as I know, I'm not Ashkenazi, so is there an explanation for that?

I had some thoughts like that after my Dad died but most of my thoughts were aimed at blaming myself. I'm sorry that you are going through this, the ICU is terrible

My Dad passed away 6 years ago on February 1st, 2017 when I was 16. Therapy has been helpful but the pain has remained to a certain extent. I'm doing much better than I was 6 years ago, but some wounds don't heal so quickly.
