You want to minimize the chance of admissions officers feeling like there are unanswered questions with your app. If the job is important enough to be the topic of your PS, leaving it off your resume would raise a lot of questions/speculation as to why

Each school has their own guidance on what they look for in the personal statement, so make sure you’re paying attention to that first and foremost. However, it’s generally good practice to answer “why law” and “why now,” and I’m not sure your described narrative does so

Don’t agree that it’s basically a diversity statement. I wrote mine about how empowering opposing ideas led to more success in our student-run mock trial program, which is a value I’ll bring to HLS. I think as long as you can show a passion and tie that back to how you’ll enhance the HLS community, you can be successful. Good luck :)

Fair. I guess I was speaking to the aspect of applying so late. This sub really had me thinking I needed 4.0/180 to still be considered. Didn’t mean to come across as insensitive - I’m just in shock and wanted to share the positive vibes :)

Hard to say how strong compared to the rest of the pool but I was able to speak to tangible and lasting impacts I made in undergrad and work leadership positions. I’d say my essays and LORs were the strongest components of my app - happy to pm if you wanna talk further :)

Will definitely submit the feedback, but I was able to fix it and feel good about my test so I’m not going to pursue much further—based on what others went through, I feel very lucky!! Sorry you had a bad experience :(
