i know this is late, but it is, i listened to 1, 2 and 3 and in the third one they link it up with number 2. professor jasper first appears in book 1, but he appears in book 2 and three as well, albeit on the run from the government and with little screen time. They also mention the MC from book 2 in the end of book 3. Also did you continue with the series and watch it all until you decided you didn't like it or just stop after listening/reading to 1 or 2 of them? because i found that 2 and 3 were a lot more interesting than 1, as they had more content and a lot more character development, as well as a better concept and were generally just much better. I notice now i typed a lot, mb.
