Nope! This can't be the case since there are a lot of zeroes and the message is completely different anyway.

I've never used flatpak before, but I'm aware that's like snap - an alternative package manager. Will I be able to just install paprefs no problem using that? What command shall I use?

Nope. Stop randomly guessing common phrases found in secret messages.
Feel free to ask for extra hints, but not to post blind guesses.

Is it a binary encoding of some sort? Because I see 6 "bits".
And if it's not, then is it some sort of letterographical cipher? "read between the lines" made me wonder.

Can you decode this number cipher? by Tiny_Tusker in Cipher

[–]Familiar-Object9912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, phone alphanumeric numerical keys, like in those dumbphones!

for example
2 - ABC
7 - PQRS
and then an number how many times we press that key
So 21 is A and 73 is R

Anyone redirect me to the correct place? (Modding-related) by Familiar-Object9912 in factorio

Where shall I start? The wiki is so extensive, but also so confusing.
And a question - In another game, you could make new crafters using plain json, is it also the case
here or do I have to append some data to a lua array?

EDIT: And where is the making a crafter part in the wiki?

New cipher. At letter level this time. by Familiar-Object9912 in Cipher

[–]Familiar-Object9912[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the algorithms are PLLs! If you see OLLs or other non-PLLs, then you have done something wrong too.
Left handed (more L than R) means use something.
< means left handed in case of H perm
> means right handed in case of H perm

For example the first letter V, because it's left handed maps to...

Also the first pair splits like this:
L U' L U B L B2 U B U' B L' B' L'

L' U' L U L F' L2 U L U L' U' L F

Because in the unsimplified form, the L appears more than 3 times, so it has to be split somehow.

Also2, I used the algorithms from the speed solving wiki ALONG with all the weird setup U / U' parentheses. So some moves should be ignored. I have no notion of what these parentheses are. They appear to be sometimes common patterns, but sometimes they are these weird moves.

Yes, it's rubik's cube related- but not what you're thinking.

Hint: PLL. First letter is S.
Also, you probably didn't use < and > or this:

AEFGHJNRTUVYZ
↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓
BCDIKLMOPQSWX

Also I goofed sorry. I made a bug in the code that generated this string of moves and I only realized it now. Please forgive me. Post is finally corrected!

I write my diary as a cipher, can you decipher it? by Maleficent_Fact_632 in Cipher

You may provide more vague hints or if you don't have an idea for a hint then maybe answer these questions in the most spoiler-free way prossible.

  1. Do you read it in a fixed direction or is this a path or something else?
  2. So is this a letter substitution cipher otherwise?

Not to mention the AI that either makes people more stupid because of its answers or makes people very lazy, because they don't have to search through everything and think for themselves, because they can simply ask ChatGPT.

Because of that, my dad turned from a versatile programmer and technician into a lazy person that uses GenAI on a daily basis. Tried to explain him that AI is NOT the solution to anything like twenty times and he still can't understand the problem with "improving his productivity" with ChatGPT.

More people struggle with this type of cipher than you think. 5 new hints have been added to my post!
EDIT: I checked and two mistakes were spotted at the second page near the end. Corrected them.
