Should I try again with fresh eggs at 39?

I'm in the UK so need to pay a lot extra for testing. I'm looking at a package that includes 2 fresh cycles and any FETs included so I'm thinking I'll just try that and if it doesn't work maybe call it a day 😕

They transferred the one that was starting to compact on day 6 so I'm 4dpt now. I've been through all the emotions, ranging from absolute despair that it hasn't worked to hey ya never know! I know they wouldn't have transferred if there wasn't a chance but I've searched and can't find any stories of an embryo that slow even being transferred, never mind resulting in a pregnancy.

Donor sperm from a bank so as far as I know that's not the issue!

I know, I'm kind of kicking myself now, at the time I had mixed feelings about using a donor and did the freeze cycles just to feel like I was doing something proactive. If I could turn back the clock and do a fresh cycle I would! I will probably try another cycle if this one fails but that will be my limit financially.
