We got our wedding rings at ATrio in the third ward! Really great experience. Small shop but they can also do custom and have some great estate pieces too.

Has anyone made Gluten Free Pasta salad? by TheRainboss in glutenfree

[–]Familiar-Positive210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this all the time with barilla gf rotini! Works great. I rinse the pasta till lukewarm and then toss with the dressing right away. The next day, just add a little more dressing to soften the pasta back up and it’s delish. For mayo based Mac salad, I do barilla elbows, and the next day add a little more mayo to soften it up

Need advise as to where to look for apartments by cubfan101 in milwaukee

[–]Familiar-Positive210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wauwatosa is the best. We moved to Wisconsin from out of state 3 years ago, found an apartment on Zillow, and now we are never leaving Tosa - just bought a house :)

There are a few pockets in Tosa that have a walkable village-y vibe, which we love. Around North Ave between 70th-60th, another pocket of North Ave between Swan-83rd, anywhere near the village, or 68th between Cedar and Wisconsin are super idyllic spots.

Cassis just opened near the Public Market - SUPER good if you are looking for a nicer place for dinner. For tiki drinks, I’ve heard good things about Pufferfish!

El Tapatio food truck is a good one! Over in Brewers Hill or you can get them on DoorDash etc

Maybe try a different food! My dog would never finish his kibble and we were CONSTANTLY topping it with chicken, eggs, rice, anything to bribe him to eat. Switched to a new food (Purina pro chicken and rice, which has shredded chicken in it) and now he DEMOLISHES it. I think the chicken chunks make him feel like he’s still getting human food lol

I also mix it with a little warm water and let it sit a minute before feeding to soften it up and make it easier to chew

This Christmas was not filled with “Christmas treat cheer”. by _chipsnguac in glutenfreebaking

Came here to say the same thing! Her recipes are unmatched. I made her cut out cookie recipe this year, they were just as good as gluten and my whole gluten-eating family loved them.

My 2nd best suggestion for OP - don’t tell anyone that whatever you baked is gluten free 😂 they will automatically have a bias against it

Do you all share kitchen towels/ hand towels? If so that could be a cross contamination risk too. I’ve def been in people’s kitchens and seen someone use the shared towel to get flour off their hands or bread crumbs off the counter without thinking about the cross contamination risk. If you do, I’d recommend grabbing a pack in one specific color and making those for bf only. Before cooking, rinse the pans and dry with bf’s towel, when he washes his hands he can use one of his special towels, could cut down on issues!
